🚨The EU AI Act neglects women by default – here’s why we need to talk about it! 🤖

After over a decade in AI & data science, We’ve seen its power to transform healthcare—but also the gaps where women are left behind. And now, the new EU AI Act, a law designed to regulate AI systems across Europe, fails to address key issues for women’s health.

HERE IS WHY:
🧠 Data & Algorithm Bias
The gender data gap leaves women out. We hear excuses like “Women’s bodies are too complex to study,” but this needs to change!

🩺 Female-Specific Conditions
Endometriosis, PCOS, maternal health… If well-trained doctors struggle to diagnose heart attacks in women, how can AI do better without proper data?

🔒 Privacy of Women’s Health Data
Sensitive data must be better protected—remember the Flo tracker lawsuits?

👩‍💻 Lack of Women in Tech
We need more female developers, CxOs, and role models to solve these problems. If you don’t live it, you might not see it!

WHAT CAN WE DO?
➡️ Developers: Use inclusive datasets, hire & promote women.
➡️ Healthcare Providers: Be aware of AI biases and push for more inclusive tech.
➡️ Users: Demand transparency and accountability in AI healthcare tools.
➡️ Policymakers: Implement stronger regulations for gender balance and data privacy.
Facing these challenges?

➡️ We offer consultations on how to navigate the new EU AI Act & GDPR to build inclusive, accurate AI solutions for women’s health. DM or E-Mail us! 🌿

Embrace Your Cycle's Winter: The Menstruation Phase (Days 1-5) ❄️

Think of your cycle like the seasons! The menstruation phase is your inner winter, a time for:

Reflection & Rest: Listen to your body's needs. Prioritise activities like journaling, reading, or spending time in nature. ‍📖

Nourishment: Fuel your body with iron-rich foods, high-calorie options (cravings are okay!), and Vitamin C for better iron absorption. 🍫

Gentle Movement: Opt for low-impact exercises like yoga, Pilates, walking, or stretching. ‍🧘‍♀️

Remember: Every menstruating person experiences this phase differently. Be kind to yourself, and prioritise self-care throughout your cycle.

Autumn Within: The Luteal Phase (14-28 days)

Your cycle reflects the seasons!

This phase:

Focuses on preparing for pregnancy (think: increased blood flow & complex glands in the uterus).
May bring hormonal shifts (PMS!).

Self-care tips:

🛏 Prioritize rest & activities you enjoy.
☕️Choose nutrient-rich foods & limit caffeine/alcohol.
🪁Consider low-impact exercise & focus on work tasks.

Remember: Every woman experiences this differently. Embrace your cycle & prioritize self-care!

Your Cycle: A Journey Through the Seasons

Our bodies are amazing, and the menstrual cycle is a fascinating example! Just like nature goes through seasonal changes, your cycle has its own unique phases.

Spring (Follicular Phase): A new egg ripens, similar to the first blooms! This phase brings increased energy and a brighter mood.

☀️ Summer (Ovulation): The egg is released, marking peak fertility - like the heat of summer!

Autumn (Luteal Phase): The body prepares for a potential pregnancy, mirroring nature preparing for winter. This can lead to higher basal metabolic rate, but also PMS symptoms.

❄️ Winter (Menstruation): The lining sheds, making way for a new cycle, just like winter brings renewal to the earth.

Remember: Every menstruating person's cycle is unique! Strong variations might indicate hormonal issues. This complex system deserves more research!

Let's keep the conversation flowing! Share your experiences and questions about your cycle.

Let's Talk Autoimmunity!

Ever feel like there's more to your endometriosis story? Research is uncovering a fascinating link between endo and autoimmune diseases!

Think of your immune system as your body's bodyguard.
In autoimmune diseases, it gets a little confused and attacks healthy tissue, causing chronic issues. Endometriosis creates chronic inflammation, which might be sending the wrong signals to your immune system 🧬

Here's the exciting part! ✨ While we don't know for sure if one causes the other, recent research suggests treatments for autoimmune diseases might also help with endometriosis. That's a win!

Let's keep the conversation going! Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments. Remember, this is for informational purposes only, so always chat with your doctor for personalized advice.

We Might Have a New Lead!
Endometriosis causing you pain and frustration? You're not alone. Millions of women experience this condition where tissue similar to your uterine lining grows outside your uterus.

But here's some potentially groundbreaking news! New research suggests bacteria called Fusobacterium might be playing a role. This bacteria was found hanging out way more often in the wombs of women with endometriosis.

Here's why this is exciting: The study also showed that mice infected with Fusobacterium developed endometriosis-like growths. But guess what? When treated with antibiotics, they had fewer growths! T

his opens the door for exploring antibiotics as a future treatment option for endometriosis.

Hold on, there's more! ✋ While this research is a major step forward, more studies are needed to confirm the link and explore the possibilities of antibiotic treatment.

So, what does this mean for you? Right now, it's too early to say for sure. But this research offers a glimmer of hope for a future with better treatment options! ✨

Stay tuned for updates and share this with anyone who might find it helpful!
