Wanna know what THE ultimate "Superfood" is? Liver! Sometimes also referred to as natures multivitamin.

Swipe left to see the comparison between 3.5 oz of chicken liver and chicken breast in Cronometer. (The app is not perfect but it gives you an idea). Beef liver is even higher in certain nutrients.

Especially if you are on a healing protocol and/or restrictive diet such as the autoimmune protocol it is crucial that you eat organ meats such as liver. It is not an added bonus, it is part of the protocol. Newsflash: You may be running into nutrient deficiencies if you leave out this step.

Because of its amazing nutrient profile, you can also overdo it. You don't want to get too much Vitamin A and Copper. 1 serving a week should be fine, but talk to your doctor and nutritionist to see what works for YOU. (this is not medical advice).

Another benefit of eating organ meats like liver is that they are a lot more affordable than muscle meat. Eating all parts of the animal (eating nose to tail) is also more sustainable because nothing goes to waste.

Do these symptoms feel familiar? Then there is a very high chance that your meals are not working for you. These symptoms are very common but not normal. This is actually quite easy to fix by eating balanced meals (eating enough protein, fat and carbs with every meal) . What exactly that will look like for you I don’t know - because bioindividuality. But if I can guess you are probably underrating protein ;).

I finally put up the hazelnut ice cream recipe I have been teasing you with for a while.

This recipe is oh so creamy, easy to make and suited for anyone who needs to cut out sugar but still wants to indulge. This recipe is keto, sugar-free, dairy-free, and egg-free. You can also adapt it to make it Paleo.
