It’s time to introduce Sanne, our superstar Marketing Intern! ⭐️

Sanne joined Tover in February, but she’s already making a big impact. She’s been diving into how we work: listening to our customers, watching how the Tovertafel is used in care communities, and taking note of our main challenges. She’s bringing a fresh perspective to help us turn those challenges into clever solutions so Tover can keep growing.

For Sanne, this is more than just a graduation project. Through personal experience within her family, Sanne understands that for people with cognitive challenges, a little bit of joy and dignity goes a long way.

That sense of purpose is what fuels her. Well…that, and our weekly supply of Haribo gummies and chamomile-cinnamon tea ☕️

For Sanne, play is about finding the best part of yourself. As a kid, that meant drawing and playing tennis. Today, it’s all about exploring new ideas on Pinterest or playing a round of Hitster with friends. It’s how she expresses herself and turns any bad day into a good one.

Since joining Tover, Sanne has learned to think bigger and trust that her ideas matter. She’s realized that even as an intern, her voice matters. Her ideas are a real part of how we move forward.

Thanks to a successful fundraising campaign, KoKoBe Café at Lebenshilfe Dinslaken is now helping their community grow stronger with their new Tovertafel.

Now hanging proudly from the café’s ceiling, the Tovertafel is creating new opportunities for everyone, including people with cognitive challenges, to interact and connect through play. No better and more inclusive way to bring a community together! 🙌

Today the spotlight belongs to Hanna, our Brand & Product Strategy Manager! ⭐️

Hanna helps make sure the voices of the people we design for are always heard. She works across teams to represent our target groups in everything we do: from game development to product decisions.

She joined Tover almost 4 years ago because she wanted to combine her two strengths: intellectual disabilities research & marketing. She shines at turning research into insights that help the whole team understand our players better.

Her favourite workdays are the ones full of brainstorming and sharing ideas. That’s what keeps her spirits high in the office. And when she’s working from home, she gets her energy from her beloved cat Beans, who has claimed a permanent spot on her desk. 🐈

Hanna is also a proud professional snacker at work. Aside from coffee, popcorn and gummies (especially Trolli and Katja ones!) are her go-to fuel.

When it comes to play, Hanna takes it 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 seriously. Whether it’s a game of cards or a paintball battle, she’s always in it to win it. A little competitive? Definitely. But always in the spirit of fun!

When she’s not busy at the office, Hanna loves sewing, cooking, reading, and staying active through yoga sessions or rowing — all things that help her unwind and recharge her creativity.

Hanna’s favourite part of working at Tover is knowing that her research is having a real, tangible impact on the lives of people with cognitive challenges. “It’s just amazing to see my work having real-life applications. My research actually goes into brightening people’s days,” she says.

“At Tover, I feel like I’m making a difference.”

The Darmstadt-Dieburg District Clinics are strengthening their geriatric care with some Tovertafel magic.

What started with caution soon turned into pure excitement; the one that only seeing residents' smiles can spark. The care team has turned the Tovertafel into an essential part of weekly therapy sessions.

This means residents get to polish cutlery, bake bread, plant a vegetable garden, or chase bugs away on a picnic blanket as part of their sessions. In other words, they're being stimulated through play!

The result? More focus, more engagement, and a regained sense of initiative. And, of course, a happy care team who sees the impact of play everyday.
