MCT Öl hilft das Insulin anzuheben. Insulin ist oft mitverantwortlich bei zu viel Körperfett! MCT Öl ist leider nicht billig. Wenn wir es sparsam und nur in Salaten verwenden, müssten es vielleicht möglich sein, dass wir es uns gönnen. :)
Many hormones are derived from cholesterol (a type of body fat found in all cells), so it makes sense that fat talks to your hormones. In WOMEN, FOOD, AND HORMONES, I recommend that 60-70% of your diet comes from fat, mostly from plant-based sources.
👉It is critical to include fats with each meal.
Eating more fat means you’ll feel more satisfied. But keep in mind that fat is not “one size fits all.” Some of my patients can have 2 tablespoons of coconut oil per day, and others hit a weight-loss plateau with that much saturated fat.
Just as with carbs, when it comes to fat, you will need to experiment and discover what works best for you. I show you how to do that in the book.
One of the fats I like is medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil. I often add MCT to salads, smoothies, and vegetable dishes. MCT oil is a very efficient type of oil derived from coconuts that gets rapidly converted into energy for your brain and body because it doesn’t require a stop at the liver for processing. (You don’t need bile acids to digest it, so it’s easier on your GI tract.)
Benefits of MCT oil:
🔸helps you feel more full than long-chain fatty acids found in vegetable oils.
has been shown to improve cholesterol profiles and to lower levels of fasting glucose and diastolic blood pressure. Because it is efficiently used as energy, it is less likely to be stored as fat, so it can help support your weight-loss goals.
🔸can help regulate the fat mass and obesity associated (FTO) gene. This gene is strongly associated with your body mass index and, consequently, your risk for obesity and diabetes. When you have a variant of this gene, it gives you sloppy control of leptin, a hormone in charge of satiety. In other words, you’re hungry all the time.
