The view from a Krankenhaus pre-op bed isn’t too shabby.

Once it’s daylight, I’ll have a lovely view of Weiden. In the meantime, I get to look at this pretty wall hanging and have space around me so I don’t feel like a sardine.

Turns out that pre-op in Germany means you get a patient room, complete with your own 🚽 and 🚿.

Having the hardware removed from my right foot now that the bone has FINALLY fused itself together after surgery in July 2022. It took 18 months to heal properly. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ve been dealing with this foot’s issues since May 2020. It’s been a looooooong road to healing. It’s meant putting my coaching practice on the back burner for until I was healed up and moving forward so I could be there for clients the way a coach should be.

The hardware makes half of my foot go numb if any amount of pressure is applied to my foot over them, so they have to come out in order for me to fully recover.

So, here I am, surgery number seven in as many years for things that should have been repaired years ago but took me forever to find surgeons that heard me.

Each and every one had its own long path but I never gave up. I never stopped advocating for myself.

Stand up when you know something in your body isn’t feeling right and don’t let them tell you to sit down until you’ve been heard.

Now, it’s time to go get healed so I can help others do their healing.
