It’s a joy to see our artworks sparking curiosity and reframing our interconnectedness with the more-than-human world. The exhibition illuminates the hidden forces surrounding us, revealing the sublime through sensory journeys beyond our everyday perception.
Each immersive installation situates the audience in an encounter that traces the threads of our co-existence, expanding our sense of self beyond our bodies, reaching out into a sensuous and more-than-human experience of the world.

Creating this group of artworks included scanning trees in the Amazon, listening in on black holes and mapping the human body in microscopic detail – to explore the life forces that connect us, the natural world, and the universe. It’s a real privilege to bring this work to Aotearoa.

Our monographic exhibition ‘Works of Nature’ originally presented at ACMI is now presented to the Museum of New Zealand Tongarewa as Breathe (Mauri Ora).

Our largest monographic exhibition to date is now showing at the Museum of New Zealand Tongarewa as ‘Breathe | Mauri Ora’, following its first presentation at ACMI as ‘Works of Nature’. Presented at awe-inspiring scale, our artworks come together to trace a shared line of inquiry, exploring breath as the rhythm that cultivates and connects all life.

Audiences journey from the ancient roots of a majestic Amazonian tree into unseen inner worlds, moving between bodily rhythms and vast cosmic patterns, gently shifting how they feel and perceive these interwoven systems.

💫 Thank you, 2025. What a year.

We’re looking back at months of exhibitions, research, and ongoing conversations. 𝘖𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘢𝘬 unfolded at Kew Gardens and Yorkshire Sculpture Park, while 𝘠𝘖𝘜:𝘔𝘈𝘛𝘛𝘌𝘙 and 𝘚𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘦 lingered a little longer after striking a chord with so many of you.

We deepened our exploration of art-led wellbeing, following breath into new territory with 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘵, and were honoured to see 𝘚𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘦 make waves and receive an Honorary Mention at the S+T+ARTS Prize 2025, with more international presentations ahead.

It was also a lively year for our limited editions, from New York to London, with works finding homes in public and private collections.

𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴 kept roaming too, picking up the Digital Dozen Award and popping up in bite-sized forms at and in Chicago.

We planted new seeds of inquiry, from a fresh chapter of 𝘗𝘰𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘰𝘪𝘭 selected for the Venice Film Festival’s Production Bridge to research unfolding through the Oxford–Bloomberg Digital Fellowship.

As many of our works travelled far and wide, we closed the year with a special moment: our monographic exhibition, first shown at , reopening as Breathe (Mauri Ora) at the Museum of New Zealand Tongarewa.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to the collaborators, commissioners, curators, researchers, and audiences who helped this year shine. ✨🌿🌎

We’re over the moon to share that 𝘞𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯 𝘖𝘤𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘪𝘳 has found a new home in a private collection in Guangzhou, China - a beautiful milestone as our works begin to ripple out into both private and public collections around the world.

Set in the Sequoia National Forest in Northern California, 𝘞𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯 𝘖𝘤𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘪𝘳 illuminates the invisible yet vital connection between plants and people - the shared rhythm of breath that underpins all life on Earth. Following a single drop of water from root to canopy, the work traces the interdependence of oxygen and life, dissolving the boundary between body and atmosphere.

A catalogue of limited editions are available through bitforms Gallery (New York), Gazelli Art House (London / Baku), and directly through our studio.

Set to a guided meditation, participants breathe in with the day and out with the night, experiencing the shared rhythm that sustains all life.

Combining NASA’s atmospheric data with resonant breathing, a technique that slows the breath to six cycles per minute, the work aligns the body’s internal rhythms, fostering focus and physiological coherence.

🌿 A Million Thanks for Standing Among the Oaks 🌿
𝘖𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘢𝘬 has now officially closed at - thank you to everyone who joined us in witnessing the rhythms of this majestic tree and the vast, hidden networks it sustains.

With 𝘖𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘢𝘬, we set out to create an artwork that brings to light what so often goes unseen. revealing the oak not just as a tree, but as a living system of relationships-complex, interconnected, and vital.

In creating 𝘖𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘢𝘬, we used various tools and techniques to reveal parts of the tree beyond human sight.

Techniques, including photogrammetry (stitching together thousands of images), LiDAR scanning (mapping the tree’s form with laser pulses) and CT scanning of soil samples, reveal hidden worlds both above and below ground. Ground-penetrating radar traces the oak’s intricate root network, while a series of 24-hour live sound recordings, supported by Kew’s specialist Tree Gang, brings its vibrant soundscape to life.

🌳 Today marked the final day of 𝘖𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘢𝘬 at Kew.
But the journey doesn’t end here.

The digital field guide carries its spirit forward, inviting you into stillness and attention, to sense the oak’s resilience and fragility wherever you are. The meditations invite us into stillness and attention, offering poetic entry points into the experience of being with trees, grounded in both imagination and embodied presence. Each piece approaches the oak from a distinct perspective, opening different ways of seeing and sensing its world.

You can experience the digital field guide and meditations in the quiet company of your favourite tree.

✨ Where is that place for you? A favourite oak, or another tree you return to again and again?

🌳 FUTURE OF THE OAK 🌳 Britain is home to more ancient oaks than the rest of Europe combined, yet these living strongholds now face growing pressures from climate change and pests. Their loss sends ripples through thousands of species, unsettling entire ecosystems.

𝘖𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘢𝘬 is our tribute to both their resilience and fragility, echoing Kew Gardens’ research and call for care. Protecting the future of oaks means moving beyond admiration into action, and we invite you to be part of that story.

Follow the link in bio for further resources and calls to action to get involved.
