Do you know what's safe for your body? 🤔
This question changed my life.

Five years ago, I was bedbound. Couldn't walk down stairs. Couldn't speak properly. COVID and shingles had torn through my system, leaving me unable to do the simplest things.

Every pacing guide told me to "gradually increase activity" - but nobody asked if my nervous system even felt safe doing ANY activity.
That was the missing piece.

When I stopped fighting my nervous system and started asking "What feels safe?" - everything shifted.
30-second walks in my garden became 5 minutes.
5 minutes became 20.
20 minutes became 5Ks.
And eventually... marathons. 🏃‍♂️
Not through pushing.
Not through "mind over matter."
But through the safety-first method I've shared in these slides.

This is the exact framework I now use with my clients. We don't just pace - we decode what their nervous system is actually telling them. We break everything down into safe, manageable steps. We understand the unique language of their body.

Capability vs capacity - know the difference and why it matters.

Capability is how well we can do something, which is like any skill, the more we do it the better we get.
Capacity is how well our body can deal with a situation.

So often we choose something because the capability is high but our capacity is low.

Choose things not just based on your capability, but add your capacity in too!

My motto: "Everything changes but nothing changes at all" 💭

Most people focus on external change, but the real transformation happens internally first. As your teacher on this journey, I've learned that when you change as a person, you become your authentic self - and that shift can never be undone ✨

This is why addressing just ONE pillar doesn't work. When you focus on just one, you miss the bigger picture. You need all three to create lasting change. My job is to guide you through each one 🎯

The most beautiful part? Once your mindset shifts, it can never shift back. You can't unknow what you know 💡

Making things easier isn't weakness—it's wisdom. 🏊‍♀️💪

These are my thermal socks. 🧦 I wear them for open water swimming, even in summer ☀️, because Raynaud's makes my hands and feet go numb in cold water. 🥶 Five years ago, I might have seen this as "cheating" or giving up. 😔
Now I see it as choosing progress over pride. ✨

I'm training for a 2km open water swim—a huge milestone for me! 🎯 These socks don't make me weak; they make it possible. 🔓 They turn "I can't" into "I can, with support." 🙌

We celebrate athletes for using training aids. 🏃‍♂️ We don't shame actors for reading scripts. 🎭 So why do we judge ourselves for adapting to chronic conditions? 🤔

Your mindset shift: 🧠💫 What if the tools that help you aren't crutches, but keys? 🔑 Keys that unlock experiences you'd otherwise miss because you're waiting to be "good enough" without them.

The truth? Nobody cares that you're using support tools except you. 💯 It's your pride holding you back, not your condition. 🚫

When you make things easier, you make them accessible. ✅ When they're accessible, you do them. 🎉 When you do them, you get stronger—mind and body. 💪🧠
Stop robbing yourself of joy while you wait for perfect. 🛑 Start embracing the tools that let you live fully now. 🌟

I didn't want to post this because I wasn't happy with how my body looked. The truth of this is that I'm hugely proud of my swim in the sea, which is still hard for me, I am recovering from a surgery on my jaw and my body is still healing.

No-one cares how I look, apart from me. I've had more muscles before, I've been much heavier before too!

The real picture is that I'm happy, I had loads of fun, I pushed myself to do something and that's much more important than those extra few kilos.

Never stop being able to love yourself. 💚
