Being Neurodivergent can make the job market feel like a completely different game.

Job interviews aren’t just about skills, They’re about eye contact, body language, reading between the lines, and saying the “right” things in the “right” way.

Things that don’t always come naturally to me. Sometimes it feels like you’re being judged more on how you present yourself than what you’re actually capable of.

I’ve had to learn a lot of those things over time. Masking, adapting, pushing through situations that are honestly exhausting. Not because I’m not capable of doing the job, but because the process of getting the job can be the hardest part.

That’s why it means something to me to be working in airport security today, because behind that is effort people don’t always see.

Neurodivergent people have so much to offer. Focus, attention to detail, dedication, and different ways of thinking. But we’re often filtered out before we even get the chance to show it.

The job market can be tough. But we’re still here, still trying, and still proving that we can sometimes thrive and belong.❤️

I’ve been there for many years now, and still as curious as when I started 😅💪❤️👍.

Special thanks to Specialisterne Danmark that recruited me for the job, and to Copenhagen Airport (CPH) for their inclusion and out of the box thinking approach for hiring someone that’s very different ❤️👏🙂.

Neurodivergent or not, these can be super helpful for some people, and should always be welcome 😀.

Normalize that some people need comfort item to be okay.
