Are you throwing away money on supplements?

You keep taking pills, but still feel fatigued, bloated, and like you’re making zero progress. Why? Because you skipped step one.

You might be doing everything "right," but your body isn't responding because its operating system is compromised.

Here’s the simple Ayurvedic truth,

Your supplements require a better inner digestive fire (Agni) to work. If your Agni is weak, your body can’t absorb the nutrients. Instead, supplements contribute to Ama (toxic, undigested residue).

Ama accumulation leads to:

- Brain Fog
- No real change from expensive vitamins
- Low Immunity (depleted "Ojas")
- Bloating/Gut Issues

The solution is to heal your Agni first.

Supplements are support, but Digestion sustains you. Before adding another pill, follow these simple rules of eating.

1. Sip warm water - Warm food and liquids kindle the digestive fire.

2. Eat slowly and in peace - Eat with utmost concentration without distractions. This ensures you are in the crucial rest-and-digest state.

3. Eat when truly hungry (Kshut) - This signals that digestive fire is ready to digest. Wait for signs of proper digestion, like lightness of the body (Laghuta) and enthusiasm (Utsaha).

Focus on mindfulness and eat like your body is your garden.

After following these small routines, I finally learned to digest emotional heaviness.

There was a time when I often felt heavy and bloated, even when I ate healthy.

No one could find a reason, but inside, I felt something wasn’t right.

Later, through Ayurveda, I realised it wasn’t just about food.

It was about the emotions I never digested: stress, pressure and unspoken feelings.

My body was trying to process what my heart couldn’t.

In Ayurveda, this is called emotional AMA or undigested emotions that weaken your AGNI, the digestive fire.

🌿 These simple evening rituals changed everything:

✔️ Eat a warm, light dinner.

✔️ Journal before sleep about what feels emotionally or mentally unfinished.

✔️ Practice Chandra Bhedana before sleep(inhale through the left nostril, exhale right to calm the mind).

✔️ Keep the phone away for at least one hour before bed. Your mind can’t digest endless information either.

The most important lesson I learned is that true digestion isn’t only about food.
It can be how you digest your emotions.

✨ Mindful Eating for Gut Health ✨

I recently hosted an event, “Mindful Eating for Gut Health”, as part of Copenhagen Health Week, and it was such a beautiful evening.

We gathered in the cosy space of Talent Garden Denmark.

We talked and reflected while exploring how digestion affects not just the body, but the mind and emotions too.

In Ayurveda, we say the root cause of disease begins in your stomach.

When your digestion is balanced, life feels lighter both physically and emotionally.

I’m grateful for everyone who came with open hearts and curiosity.

These small circles remind me why I do what I do to help people reconnect with their inner glow through awareness, food, and gentle rituals.

A calm mind is the first ingredient for a healthy gut

In Ayurveda, your gut and mind are deeply connected. When stress, anxiety, or overthinking disturb the mind, your digestion (Agni 🔥) weakens. When the mind is calm, the gut works well, and it helps absorb nutrients, balance energy, and support emotional well-being.

That’s why Ayurveda sees mental health as the foundation of gut health. 🧘‍♀

Try this today,

💛 Pause and breathe before meals
💛 Eat mindfully, without rushing
💛 End with gratitude. It soothes both mind & gut

✨ Nurture your mind, and your gut will glow

Good digestion leads to better energy, clarity & glow.

But when your digestive fire (Agni) weakens, the body sends signals. Here are 5 signs your digestion needs support and WHY they happen:

✅ Coated tongue → means toxins (Ama) and undigested food are piling up.

✅ Irregular hunger → your digestive fire is out of rhythm, so real appetite doesn’t show up consistently.

✅ Bloating & heaviness → food is fermenting instead of digesting smoothly.

✅ Unhappy bowels → constipation, loose stools or foul smell show the gut isn’t processing food well.

✅ Low energy & brain fog → poor digestion = poor nutrient absorption, leaving you tired and unfocused.

🚨 If you notice 2 or more of these often, your gut is asking for extra care.

💡Want to know how strong YOUR digestion really is?

🍂 Autumn is pure magic with golden leaves, crisp air, cozy sweaters, and candles glowing in the evening.

🌿 In Ayurveda, autumn is known as Vata season, light, airy, cool, and dry. And just like the swirling leaves outside, our body and mind can feel unsettled inside. This season can also leave us feeling a little off balance dry skin, restless sleep, scattered thoughts.

Here are a few simple rituals to keep you grounded and glowing this autumn:

✔️ Eat warm, spiced meals such as thick soups, root veggies, porridges, golden milk.

✔️ Massage your skin with warm sesame oil.

✔️ Practice gentle yoga & warming breathwork.

✔️ Take slow walks in nature to ground you.

✔️ Support yourself with teas, herbs, and steady sleep.

✨ Even one of these rituals can make your autumn mornings softer and your evenings cosier. Choose what feels good for you, and let the season nourish you from the inside out.

A Note from Me:
Hi, I’m Nishadi, an Ayurveda practitioner from Sri Lanka, now based in Copenhagen.
Ayurveda has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. In my childhood, it wasn’t a subject in a book; it was in the way my family lived. Rising with the sun, cooking with fresh herbs from the garden, and caring for the body as a sacred gift.

After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and working with clients for over a decade, I’ve seen how these simple, time-honoured practices can transform daily life, bringing clarity, balance, and a deep sense of connection.

For me, a morning ritual isn’t just a habit. It’s an act of love towards yourself, a way to tune into your body’s needs, quiet the mind, and carry a sense of calm into your day.

Evening is the time to release heat, stress, and energy you don’t need to carry into tomorrow.

In Ayurveda, we honour the transition into stillness, especially for calming a Pitta-type mind that tends to overthink or stay “on.”

Try one of these 3 simple rituals,

✨ Light a candle instead of a screen
✨ Sip a soothing herbal tea
✨ Massage your feet with calming oil
✨ Journal your thoughts to clear your mind
✨ Breathe in the moon’s cooling energy

Which one will you try first?

Breathe. Pause. Come back to yourself.

In Ayurveda, the breath (prana) is the bridge between your mind and body, and when it flows freely, your spirit feels light, clear, and alive.

✨ Today, gift yourself one minute of intentional breathing.

Just inhale deeply… and exhale slowly.

Feel your nervous system soften. Feel your energy return.

What brings you back to peace?
