This was the type of experience that I am happy we were two people having together whom both perceived it in the same way. Otherwise it could have been interpreted as a “mere coincidence”. But if you have followed my stories for a while, you might have started to see the same pattern as I do: We are all connected and consciousness shapes reality. Nature reacts and interacts with us in ways that we might have thought of as impossible. I believe we are starting to understand this, as our consciousness is rising and we dare to move away from the atheistic and materialistic worldview and realize that consciousness and spirit is everywhere.
During my travels I have come to Koh Lanta, Thailand, where I have stayed in Community Gueshouse on Long Beach the last three weeks. It is a perfect place to meet people. I wanted to do some diving here and had been considering buying a GoPro camera to be able to film during the dives.
At the guesthouse I was blessed to meet Christian from Tauch Center Feldberg in Germany. He works there as a staff instructor which means he is an exceptionally good and experienced diver. He was up for diving together and made sure, that the dive center made us dive buddies. He had a case for his phone, which enabled him to bring it and film while diving. He just needed a battery for the case, which I could go and get on the bike we had rented. With that collective effort, we were able to get footage and pictures from our beautiful dives – just like I had wished for.
A while later I went on a SUP board along Long Beach, and I had my goggles with me, in case I would come across something, I wanted to look at under the water. At some point I saw a shadow under the water in the shape of a turtle. I thought it might be a rock, so that means there could be some marine life around it. I wanted to wash my goggles before I put them on, but a wave tipped the board up and down in a surprising way and I accidently dropped the goggles in the water, and they sank so fast, that I couldn’t catch them with my paddle.
It was windy and the water was deep, and I had to hold on to the board and the paddle, and without my goggles on, I couldn’t see anything under the water, so I could not go in and get them. It was some very good ones, so I was annoyed about losing them, when I know I wouldn’t be able to buy a new pair that would be as good here on this island. I looked at the beach and remembered the place where I lost them and thought I would get back here with a borrowed swim mask and look for them later without a board.
I had an online session with a client shortly after I had delivered the board back, so unfortunately I didn’t have time to look for them straight away, and after the session the sun had set. I knew that looking for them the next day after a windy night with tide rolling in and out would give me a very small chance of finding them again. However I knew I would regret not giving it a try.
The next day I asked Christian if I could borrow a mask from him and if he thought there would be any chance of finding them. I was very happy when he offered to come with me and look for them. Part of his work as a professional diver in Germany has been to recover lost objects. He said that after this night with waves, the chances were not high. But it was good that I had a landmark, so I knew where to look. I silently prayed for guidance in the search.
I enjoyed the treasure hunt. I saw a funny little jellyfish, and soon after Christian called me over. He had spotted a stingray! I dove down and saw it up close. A beautiful being well camouflaged on the sand bottom. This made the search worthwhile even if we wouldn’t find what we were looking for.
We continued the search. I found some recognizable seaweed, so I knew I was in the right area. I called Christian and he came to search in this shallower area. Then he called me over again. He had spotted a big cuttlefish (see the illustration). It was the biggest one he had ever seen. When I saw it, I had an immediate sense that this being was highly intelligent. It was changing colors between sandy like the sand bottom and dark brown like a fallen leaf or seaweed. It also had a light around the edge that Christian said would glow in the dark. It could swim in all directions without turning, and it had big, conscious eyes. I remember having seen “My octopus friend” on Netflix and having met manta rays while diving and swimming with a wild dolphin and in all these places getting the understanding that these beings are highly conscious.
I also came to think of Veda Austins research on water, where she has beautifully shown that water itself is conscious. If you are not familiar with her research I highly recommend checking it out at vedaaustin.com. She exposes water to various experiences, music, pictures or questions, freezes it and photographs it. In one experiment she asked the water “can you see me?” and it responded with a picture of three eyes.
Knowing and feeling that the water and the beings here were full of consciousness I stated telepathically “Dear ocean and all your intelligent beings. Can you please show us where my goggles are now? Somebody here must know where they are, cause I know the ocean is full of consciousness!”.
We observed the cuttlefish for a while and were really impressed by how relaxed it was. It could easily have swum away if it had wanted to. But it stayed in the same area and we could enjoy the magnificent changes in color it made. When we followed it around gently, we came to that “turtle rock” that I had initially seen, where I dropped the goggles.
Christian gave me his fins to try them on and declared that he would just search for a little while more. He disappeared under the water and then when coming up for his next breath, he had my goggles in his hand! I screamed with excitement through my snorkel!
– Where did you find them? I asked.
– Under the belly of the cuttlefish! It took me directly to them!
I was so surprised. Not only had we found the goggles against all odds. Also my prayer had been answered and thereby my feeling of the cuttlefish being conscious and willing and able to help had been confirmed. I had not told Christian about asking the sea for guidance and help, but he completely confirmed my experience in the way he told me what happened. I also felt that the cuttlefish wasn’t afraid of us and that it deliberately showed him the goggles.
Like my experience with trees dropping their acorns in response to me and my friend Bernie singing to the trees in the forest (as you might have heard me talking about elsewhere), it was very nice to hear that Christian interpreted it in the same magical way as I did. Just like Bernie who also felt that the trees were acting with a conscious response to us, my friend Christian here was also there as my co-witness to this experience of nature being conscious and friendly.
What a wonderful world!
