Korsør Aktive Kvinder Women's Club, Korsør City learned about Buddhism and practiced meditation at Wat Phra Dhammakaya Korsør Lystskov.
When the students arrived at the temple, they were given an orientation on how to greet and pay respect in the Buddhist culture, as well as learning an easy way to meditate. They also watched a video on Buddhist history to gain a better understanding of Buddhism.
Following that, student representatives offered incense, candles, and flowers to the monastic community. Venerable Phrakhru PaladBhavanawat led them in a chant to pay homage to the Triple Gem—the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha.
Venerable Pasura Dantamano then gave a presentation on Buddhism and meditation. Afterwards, he guided them in a tranquil meditation before opening the floor to questions.
The students experienced Buddhist culture by taking part in a ceremony in which they offered alms and the monks’ robes, poured water to dedicate merit, received a blessing, and placed gold leafs on the crystal ball of fulfillment. After that, they explored the temple’s various rooms before sampling some of the best and most authentic Thai cuisine in Denmark.
