Death Announcement

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend; Mrs. Virginia Editha Louis Pierre, affectionately known as “Tofa” or “Ma lio” of St Joseph. She departed this life at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital at the age of 85.

Sunrise: 16th/April/1940
Sunset: 22nd/November/2025

She is survived by:
• Nine Children: Milton, Nathaniel, Nelister, Emmanuel, Vernel, Andrew “Sico” Joel “Deceased”, Jonel, Laurel “Bessy” Pierre.

•Grandchildren: Jabez, Fillander, Shekira, Kerr, Jarib, Zael, Annu, Afra, Jahiem, De- Shawn, Nehemiah, Abba, Valina and Kirk.

•Great grandchildren: Samyrah, J’deesa, Ibrahim, de-Janie, Kyion and kaira.

•Two Adopted children: Maurinthia Nicholas, Irvin Sylvester.

•Two step sons: Arden and Thomas Pierre.

•One Brother: Clem Louis.

•Daughters’ in-law: Myrtle, Ingrid and Jenny Pierre.

•Sons’ in-law: Agustus, Raymond and Winston.

The funeral service of the late Mrs. Virginia Editha Louis Pierre, affectionately known as “Tofa” or “Ma lio”, will be held at the seventh day Adventist church in Roseau, On Tuesday 16th December 2025. Viewing at 02:00pm – 02:30pm followed by internment, at the Roseau public cemetery.

People who are interested in attending the funeral of the late Mrs. Virginia Editha Louis Pierre, affectionately known as “Tofa” or “Ma lio”, are ask to gather at the Kelleb John Laurent primary school in St. Joseph. Buses will be leaving at 12:00pm.

We sadly announce the death of 96 year old Joanna Yvonne Viville nee Darroux of Goodhope who resided in Antrizle. She died on Monday the 1st December 2025 at her residence.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT: BERNARD JNO LEWIS

We announce the Death of 76 year old Bernard JNO LEWIS, better known as Baba of Mabouche, Grand Bay. He died on Sunday 23rd November 2025.

Survivors:

Sisters: Jeromina, Paulina, Clotilda, Bernadette, Ruthina & Wiselyn

Brothers: Gabriel and Victor

Seventeen Nieces and 9 Nephews

Caretaker: Vernan “Miss Fofo” Henderson

Many relatives and friends including Fr. Branker John, residents of Four Corners, Mabouche and the wider Grand Bay Community.

His body can be viewed from 2:15 on Monday 8th December, 2025 at the St Patrick’s Catholic Sacred Space in Grand Bay. Followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 pm and subsequent burial at the St Patrick’s Cemetery.
