تحذير مهم للأطباء البيطريين في مصر – انتشار ملحوظ لمرض MCF في المجترات

في الأيام دي بنلاحظ زيادة كبيرة في حالات Malignant Catarrhal Fever (MCF) في مناطق مختلفة في مصر، والمرض ده بيشكل خطر كبير على المجترات، خصوصًا الأبقار، بسبب ارتفاع معدل الوفيات وعدم وجود علاج نوعي ليه.

نُبذة سريعة عن المرض:
• فيروس بينتمي لعائلة الهيربس
• الأغنام بتعتبر carrier للفيروس (خصوصًا في موسم الولادة)، وتنقله للمجترات التانية زي الأبقار والجاموس والغزلان
• بيظهر بشكل sporadic لكن بيكون قاتل جدًا

أهم الأعراض اللي لازم تلاحظها:
• Hyperthermia
• Ocular & nasal discharges
• Keratoconjunctivitis
• Oral erosions & ulcerations
• Neurological signs in advanced stages
• Lymphadenopathy

التشخيص التفريقي مهم جدًا: لازم نفرق بين MCF وأمراض زي:
• Rinderpest (رغم اختفاؤه، لكن في حالات مشابهة)
• Bovine viral diarrhea (BVD)
• IBR
• FMD
• Bluetongue

مفيش علاج نوعي، والتعامل بيكون supportive، لذلك: الوقاية هي خط الدفاع الأساسي.

نوصي بالتالي:
• توعية المربيين بعدم تربية الأغنام والأبقار مع بعض
• سرعة العزل عند ظهور الأعراض
• التواصل مع المعامل المرجعية لتأكيد الحالات
• تسجيل ومتابعة أي حالات مشتبه فيها لرفع مستوى الرصد الوبائي

Monitoring the f***s of young animals, especially during their early weeks of life, is essential for assessing health, digestion, and nutrition. The appearance and consistency of f***s change significantly as the animal transitions from birth through weaning and into post-weaning stages. The chart above illustrates these normal changes in detail.

1. Meconium (First 24–48 Hours Post-Birth)
Description: Thick, sticky, and dark (black to tar-like)

Cause: Meconium is the newborn’s first f***s, consisting of materials ingested in the womb such as amniotic fluid and cellular debris.

Note: Passage of meconium within 24 hours is a good sign of digestive tract function.

2. Transitional F***s (Day 2–3)
Description: Looser than meconium, yellow to light brown, somewhat sticky

Cause: This occurs as colostrum transitions to regular milk, and the gut begins to adjust to digestible nutrients.

Observation Tip: Watch for signs of diarrhea or bloating, which may indicate poor colostrum absorption or early infection.

3. Milk F***s (First Few Weeks)
Description: Yellowish to brown, soft but formed

Cause: Milk is the sole source of nutrition during this stage, and f***s are influenced by milk quality and volume.

Health Tip: Diarrhea during this period could indicate overfeeding, underfeeding, or bacterial issues (e.g., E. coli, rotavirus).

4. Weaning Transition (Around 4–8 Weeks)
Description: Greenish, pasty, may vary in consistency

Cause: Introduction of solid feeds like hay, pellets, or grains. The gut microbiome is adapting to new substrates.

Watch Out For: Drastic dietary changes may cause digestive upset. Transition gradually.

5. Post-Weaning F***s
Description: Firm pellets, brown to dark brown

Cause: This indicates a fully functional rumen and adaptation to a solid diet.

Health Indicator: Well-formed f***s show proper digestion. Loose stools post-weaning may suggest dietary intolerance or parasitism.

Why This Matters
Understanding these f***l changes helps livestock handlers:

Detect digestive issues early

Monitor feeding transitions

**🔥 احذروا! أمراض الصيف القاتلة لحيواناتكم الأليفة والماشية 🐾**

مع ارتفاع الحرارة، تزداد مخاطر إصابة الحيوانات بأمراض قد تكون مميتة! إليكم أشهر الأمراض وكيفية الوقاية منها:

# # # **1. ضربة الشمس والجفاف ☀️**
- **الأعراض:** لهث شديد، خمول، أو إغماء.
- **الوقاية:**
▪️ وِّفر ماءً نظيفًا دائمًا.
▪️ تجنب الخروج في الظهيرة.
▪️ ضع مظلة في مكان الإيواء.

# # # **2. الطفيليات 🕷️ (قراد – براغيث – بعوض)**
- تنقل أمراضًا مثل **"الدودة القلبية"** و **"فقر الدم"**.
- **الحل:**
▪️ استخدم طوقًا أو نقطًا مضادة للطفيليات.
▪️ نظف أماكن النوم بانتظام.

# # # **3. التهابات الجلد 🦠**
- بسبب الرطوبة أو لدغات الحشرات.
- **العلامات:** احمرار، حكة، تساقط الشعر.
- **الوقاية:** جفف فراء الحيوان بعد الاستحمام.

# # # **4. تسمم الطحالب الزرقاء 💀**
- موجودة في المياه الراكدة (مثل البرك).
- **تحذير:** لا تسمح لحيوانك بالشرب منها!

# # # **5. إصابة الذباب للأغنام 🐑 (Flystrike)**
- الذباب يضع بيضه على الجلد الرطب.
- **الوقاية:** تنظيف الصوف وتطهير الجروح.
