There’s a quiet truth most of us forget:
We don’t just feel emotions… we go places inside ourselves when life touches something tender.
This wheel is a reminder that every emotional reaction is a doorway into an inner room we’ve visited before. Some rooms feel familiar and comforting… others feel heavy, triggering, or unsafe. And depending on our history, our wounds, and our healing, each of us takes a different internal path.
What moves me most is how much compassion this invites.
Because behind every reaction, there is a story.
Behind every shutdown, there is a fear.
Behind every overreaction, there is an unmet need.
Behind every “I’m fine,” there is a place we’re standing in ,overwhelmed, hopeful, hurting, or longing.
When things don’t go as planned, some go to disappointment, others to shame, others to over-functioning.
When we feel wronged, some go to anger, others to silence, others to self-protection.
When life is good, some go to gratitude, others to fear of losing it, others to a quiet joy that softens everything.
It’s a reminder that emotions are not moral judgments, they’re maps.
Maps shaped by childhood, safety, trauma, connection, and past experiences.
And maybe healing begins when we stop judging where we “go,”
and start gently asking:
✨ What is this reaction trying to show me?
✨ Which wound is being touched?
✨ What do I need to feel safe in this moment?
✨ How can I respond instead of react?
Every emotional place is part of being human.
Some places grow us, some stretch us, some drain us
but all of them are invitations to know ourselves with honesty, compassion, and curiosity.
May we learn to walk through these inner rooms with softness, awareness, and an open heart for ourselves first, and then for others. :)
