A perfect-time cut!!

This is a CT for a male patient 67 years old, presented with surgical abdomen. This CT cut shows the cause, the "perforation" of a perforated DU!!

On exploration this was confermed.

This case was in ASUSH.

Male patient mid 50's, presented with progressive dysphagia. He told us he used to push the food in his guts using long wire!!!!
he inserts the wire in his mouth and pushes the food down to the stomach!!!!
contrast study and ct chest are shown, upper GI endoscopy failed to go through the food remnants.
this patient was treated by uncommon procedure called cardioplasty!!

Male patient 31 years old, presented with tachycardia, right iliac fossa pain, tenderness and rebound tenderness. He was on strong analgesics.
Appendectomy was done, we excised and extracted this long gangrenous appendix with a faecolith inside with verey small healthy part proximal to the faecolith.

Don't prescribe analgesia for undiagnosed abdominal pain!!!

92 years old female with papillary carcinoma of the thyroid gland.
condition started 4 years ago, when she was 89 years old, but no radical surgery was done, because she was too old!!
now she was presented with some dysphagia and dyspnia when lying flat.


never say too old ;))

Female Pt. presented with Obstructive jaundice, u/s CCC and CBD stones, ERCP failed to retrieve stones and a stint was inserted.
After open cholecystectomy, CBD exploration and Choledochoduodenostomy....these stones were extracted from the CBD!!!

the normal CBD diameter is only double the size of this plastic stint!!!

Male pt, with shotgun injury:
The CAT scan shows multiple slugs or shots scattered all over the face bones and PNS's.
The pt underwent lt eye evisceration and is waiting for further re-constructive surgeries.
