According to Statista, in 2021, about 9.7 million people in Egypt had social insurance and were covered by health insurance. The highest number of insured individuals during the observed period was 11.98 million in 2017. However, in 2020, the number dropped to its lowest point at 9.5 million. This suggests that the number of people with health insurance in Egypt is decreasing.
