In a conversation with عربية .Inc Magazine, Rology’s leadership team shared the story behind our journey — from our beginnings in Egypt, to scaling across Kenya, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.

What started as a response to a very real challenge on the ground — radiologist shortages, long reporting delays, and limited access to sub-specialized care — has grown into an AI-assisted, FDA-cleared teleradiology platform serving hundreds of hospitals across the MEA region.

Built in the region, for the region, Rology was designed to work where infrastructure is limited, bandwidth is low, and speed can mean the difference between life and death — always with radiologists firmly in the loop.

Healthtech startup Rology closed a growth funding round to support the expansion of its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered teleradiology platform.

As part of our work to improve access to radiology services in low-resource settings, Rology has wrapped up a collaborative design and research project with MIT D-Lab.

The collaboration focused on translating real, on-the-ground challenges into practical, thoughtful design. The initial ideation for this work traces back to earlier conversations during our engagement with 100x Impact Accelerator, and it was great to see those ideas further shaped and stress-tested through this hands-on design process with MIT D-Lab, supported by Solve - MIT.

Working with a truly multidisciplinary group of students and instructors was a very positive experience. The team brought a structured and well-organized approach, and the diversity of backgrounds and disciplines clearly strengthened the work throughout the process. Their ability to turn real operational constraints into concrete design decisions was especially valuable to us.
