Orthopedic Surgeon – Foot & Ankle Surgery
Medical Director, Stryker Foot and Ankle

Dr. W. Hodges Davis is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing exclusively in foot and ankle surgery. He earned his B.S. from Duke University and his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. He completed a Foot & Ankle Surgery Fellowship at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Dr. Davis joined Miller Orthopaedic Clinic (now OrthoCarolina) in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1992 and has spent his entire career within this group. He served as Medical Director of the O.L. Miller Foot & Ankle Institute and has trained more than 100 fellows and over 25 residents in foot and ankle surgery.

👨‍⚕️ He is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Lower Extremity Complex Reconstruction, Joint Preservation and Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Haleem takes special interest in adult foot and ankle deformity, complex lower extremity deformity correction, and joint preservation.
🔬 His current research is focused on cartilage-preserving procedures of major weight-bearing joints of the lower extremities (ankles, knees, and hips), with particular emphasis on the use of biologics specifically mesenchymal stem cells and platelet-rich plasma.
