Today; I want to share with you the story of my friend Domi. �
Domi was a very cute litte baby girl and the first child of her parents.� She was so lovely and everybody loved her angel smile. One day, she caught chest infection and her cough went bad.� On seeing the doctor her family was shocked by the fact that their little girl might have something wrong with her little heart and it could be the cause of her bad chest condition. After doing some investigations Domi was diagnosed with VSD or Ventricular Septal Defect.�
Bearing a hole in between your ventricles can have a serious consequences on your health. Domi and her family were admited in the hospital and Domi was electively prepared for an open heart surgery for VSD closure. Time passes after that and our girl Domi grew up happily and healthy.�� She goes to high school and passes all her classes with excellent degree and after that she decides to study medicine and indeed, she graduates from medical school and during her intern period she passes a lot of time in the same department were she did her surgery and takes the choice of her life to be a Cardiothoracic surgeon to help other born different precious children of God.�
In my career I meet a lot of "Domies". Every medical student has a story to tell about why he decided to take that big challenge. ��

صباح الخير على حضراتكم
انا نجوى عمرو لاشين استاذ امراض الباطنة و السكر و الميتابوليزم، كلية الطب، جامعة الاسكندرية، خريجة دفعة ١٩٧٨.
بتوفيق من الله قمت مع مجموعة متميزة من اساتذة الجامعات المصرية المتخصصين فى مرض السكر و السمنة بعمل يعتبر فريد من نوعه فى مصر و هو موقع الكترونى مفهرس لتثقيف مرضى السكر.
الموقع يتضمن ٧٣ فيديو تم انزالهم بطريقة مسلسلة و مفهرسة، عن كل ما يخص مرض السكر : اسبابه، اعراضه، علاجاته، مضاعفاته، مرض السكر و الحمل، مرض السكر و الصيام (صيام رمضان و صيام الإخوة المسيحيين)، مرض السكر و الحج. الفيديوهات كلها باللغة العربية باللهجة المصرية السلسة التى يسهل على أى مريض سكر فهمها مهما كانت درجة ثقافته.
أول من تبنت هذا الموقع هى نقابة الاطباء بالاسكندرية بمساعدة نقيب الاطباء بالاسكندرية اد.عبد المنعم فوزى ،و من بعدها النقابة العامة للأطباء بالقاهرة بمساعدة الدكتور محمد فريد حمدى، بجانب كثير من النقابات الإقليمية للأطباء فى مصرنا الحبيبة و تم فعلا انزال هذا الموقع على مواقعهم الإلكترونية.
كما تبنت انزال هذا الموقع على موقعها الإلكترونى وزارة الصحة بالاسكندرية بمساعدة د.أميرة طهيو وكيل اول وزارة الصحة بالاسكندرية سابقا.
ارجو من سيادتكم شاكرة أن تنشروا هذا الموقع لما فيه من فائدة تثقيفية كبيرة لمرضى السكر المتزايد عددهم بصورة وبائية فى مصر و فى العالم أجمع.
