A 53 year old male patient presenting with MCA stroke two weeks after presenting with Anterior STEMI for which he was treated by PCI to a totally occluded LAD. 2D TTE suspected a mass attached to the aortic valve so TEE with 3D assessment was done showing the mass in this video.

Patient denies any history of fever and his echo after the ischemic event was free apart from territorial affection by the occluded vessel

Any thoughts what this mass might be?

What is the prominent structure in this case?

A 42-year-old female with a history of bioprosthetic mitral valve replacement 20 years earlier presented in cardiogenic shock.
Echocardiography revealed severe degeneration and stenosis of the mitral bioprosthesis.
Given her high surgical risk, percutaneous mitral valvuloplasty was performed as a bridge to definitive surgery.

A 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) image demonstrates the post-procedural appearance of the bioprosthetic valve, compared with an intraoperative photograph obtained during redo mitral valve replacement after the patient had stabilized from cardiogenic shock.

18 y old male with one month duration of dyspnea and fever.

Important clue to differentiate pericardial from pleural effusion is that pericardial effusion is anterior to descending thoracic aorta while pleural effusion is posterior.

Another view that could help is left lateral view at posterior axillary line.
