My Yoga Story
At the age of seventeen I started to suffer from lower back and hips problems caused at my teenager gymnastics practice. Anxiety and psoriasis came later when I had to quit with it.
My doctor in Spain recommended yoga, after trying out different methods of healing. So I started with the local teacher in my hometown, Cullera, who introduced me to the discipline through the Sivananda yoga practice.
I Carried on with self-practice during college and also attended to drop in classes during my travels around the world from 2011 till 2016.
In 2014 I got the 200h YTT Multi-style yoga teacher certificate in Dharamasala, India. I learned about the different styles of the discipline; Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Therapeutic and Meditation. While also exploring different mediation practices derived from Osho and practices with Tibetan Monks. I loved learning about The Yoga Philosophy and the human body anatomy with my teachers, guru and Ayurvedic doctor. This training was only "dipping my toes in the pond", during my time in the UK I have the chance to train and grow surrounded by experienced teachers from Birmingham, London, Bristol and Valencia, expanding my knowledge in Ayurveda, Yin, Restorative and Ashtanga. I like to stay truthful to my yoga journey as a permanent student, ever learning as a teacher.
15 years later I can see myself recovered from the lower back and hip problems, the psoriasis is gone, and the anxiety is not the owner of my life anymore. Even those times were difficult, suffering in that way draw me near yoga. I hope my experience can inspire people to find their own path in Yoga.
