Me llamo Dave, soy colombiano y llevo 4 años viviendo en España.

Soy un apasionado del fitness y del movimiento. Estudié la carrera profesional en entrenamiento deportivo y llevo más de 10 años involucrado en este mundo, con 3 años de experiencia como entrenador personal.

Me encanta ayudar a las personas a descubrir de lo que se puede lograr, disfrutar el proceso y construir hábitos que realmente duren. No creo en los cambios rápidos, sino en el progreso constante y en sentirse bien en cada paso del camino.

Lately I’m thinking more and more about how much time I wasted at the beginning of my training (single tear drop🥲) , so many mistakes like not progressing with the weights , not picking the best exercises , not setting the program in the right order , sticking always to the same split, ignoring special techniques etc.

It took me many years to build al the knowledge I needed in order to progress in a quick and safe way and there is nothing I like more than sharing it🙏🏼

Ways to Increase Training Volume
Split your trainings smarter: it’s better to split your trainings in a way that allows each body part to be exercised twice a week.
I suggest:
- full-body programs in the case that you are going to the gym 1-3 times a week
- A/B for 4 times a week
- And A/B/C only if you’re going 6 times weekly
That way each body part will get more volume weekly compared to only exercising one major muscle in each training.
When splitting your workout, I recommend to split it by movements, as in A) Push+Squats and Lunges/Pull, then B) Dead Lift+Hip Thrust followed by C) Push/Pull/Legs if you are going more frequently.

More time under tension: do long and slow sets (12 reps) and involve drop sets - lifting 8 reps with a heavy weight and then dropping down to smaller weights for another 3 reps and continuing to do so until you complete 14 reps - in the last exercise for each muscle part for extra volume.
Those few extra seconds that the muscle is under tension will provide the overload necessary for building muscle.
Also it’s very important to pick the correct weight which you can lift with the right technique throughout the set. If your form isn’t correct you will use other muscles to preform the lift and not the one you’re aiming to work on.


Super-set: involving super-sets for a few of the exercises is recommended for experienced gym goers.
“Super-set” is a technique where you preform two exercises on opposite muscles (Bicep and Tricep for example), one after the another with no rest in between.
That way you can complete a few more sets in your workout without spending more time at the gym.................

Three Main Reasons Why You Don't Make Progress In The Gym:

1. Not Eating Enough 🍎 :
If you don't eat enough, the body won't put energy towards building muscles, instead, it will use the energy it has on the daily activities it's forced to do.

In order to make the body feel comfortable using energy to build muscles, you should eat an extra 300-500 calories more than your maintenance calorie intake each day and aim for 1.6 G of protein per KG.

2. You Don't Change Your Routine 🔁:
Our body gets used to our workout and learns how to adapt to each routine.
Because of that, each program is useful for only a short amount of time.

You should mix up your routine every 2-3 month in iirder to stimulate the muscles.
Change the exercises, rep/set number, angles, or the order of the program for confusing the body and promoting growth.

3. Bad Technique 🏋️:
When you don't execute an exercise the right way you aren't just at risk of suffering from an injury, but you're also not activating the muscle fibers properly.

You should always choose the proper weight and feel the stretch in the muscle at the beginning of the movement and squeeze the muscle at the end.

Make sure that only the joints that are supposed to be active in the exercise are in movement as well.
