🎊👏👩‍🎓 Enhorabuena a nuestra compañera de laboratorio, Vasiliki Soursou, .j_srs , por la defensa de su tesis doctoral con el título: "Tracing Plastic: Determination of microplastic, plastic additives and persistent organic contaminants in marine and freshwaterecosystems", el 20 de febrero de 2026. La tesis obtuvo la nota de "Sobresaliente" por el tribunal y Vasia es oficialmente doctora en contaminación, toxicologia y sanidad ambientales.

🎊👏👩‍🎓 Congratulations to our colleague, Vasiliki Soursou, for her PhD. thesis defense that took place on the 20st of February, 2026. Her thesis achieved an "Excellent" grade by the evaluating committee, and Vasia is officially a doctor (PhD) in pollution, toxicology and environmental health.

🎊👩‍🔬 Congratulations to our PhD. student Jhesibel Chavez, on her Poster presentation with the title: "Occurrence and spatial distribution of target and non-target pesticide residues in the Palancia River Basin (Spain): preliminary results" at the 12th European Conference on Pesticides and Related Organic Micropollutants in the Environment (PESTIPOLL 2025) in Almería (Spain).

✍️🎊 New scientific publication by our PhD student, Vasia Soursou (.j_srs ), with the title:"Assesing the degradation of polyester fibres from different textiles: A simulation based on laundry release". This paper is the last one from her PhD thesis and a collaboration with professor Richard C. Thompson and Dr Francesca De Falco from the University of Plymouth.
