Winter - The earth grows quiet, conserving energy beneath the surface. Nothing is rushing — everything is trusting the pause

We feel this shift too.
Lower energy. A need for rest. A pull inward.
Nature reminds us that slowing down isn’t falling behind — it’s aligning 🙏

Breathe slowly and intentionally, to let go of resistance and shift with the season.

Inhale through the nose for 4
Exhale through the mouth for 6

As you repeat few times, let the body soften.

“I am my breath & my breath is the bridge back to nature’s rhythm“

Thank you .breath.song.yoga and for walking us into this season within module 5 training. I feel deep gratitude for this community, walking with me through so many shifts before, and once again. We dove deep into facilitation in multiple layers, holding space for the physical, emotional and energetic shifts on and off the mat. Also thank you fellow companions, time flew by too fast!

It’s all unfamiliar before it’s familiar.
This past week there has been beautiful interaction and moments where I draw my inspiration.

On a group yoga class with many new faces, I could sense the confusion and I had the opportunity to practice slow clear encouraging instructions. Allowing people to explore, wander off & then bring everyone gently back together to repeat it all 🤸

On a personalized yoga class for 2 we dove to basics, slowing down to study the sun salutations, building confidence, body-mind awareness & strong base for safe & effective personal practice.

It takes repetition and faith to build new.
The dust will settle and it will all be clear again.

Today I enjoyed an Inbodhi class as a student after a long pause. It felt SO good and what I mean by good is that it felt like coming home. Life takes me to places but Yoga takes me always back to myself.

I am all about the art of being but today I am deeply grateful for the doing. I am grateful to my body, which brought me here, moved me on the yoga mat, connected with the inspiring people here, took me for a walk by the sea & makes all the doing possible.

I am & with this incredible machinery called body, we together can manifest. Hear, see, smell, taste, touch and to be touched.

I am here, lead me.

I am probably wrong on this.. but I feel like the word “nervous system” is trending! Feels like it’s all about “how to regulate your nervous system” these days & social media is telling me to rush my way out of dysregulation 😅

Am I alone or am I missing the point here?

Of course I am happy that we are raising the general awareness of “the nervous system” and its functions, that’s brilliant!

…still can not help but feel slightly uneasy.

Are we encouraging to intellectualize rest & “shake it off” instead of being, feeling, connecting & learning from our ns & its subtle messages?

Leave no room for blame, shame, quilt around rest and step into the plane of compassion & honestly. Set down small & achievable goals rooted into what is.

Stress is often labeled as a “bad” thing but it really is a necessary part of our everyday living such as the Eustress, so called good stress. I believe that stress management starts from
1. Understanding stress
2. Befriending stress
3. Cultivating Awareness

We can not always manage as a “control” stress but we can cultivate awareness of the states, regulate & build resilience. It’s good to understand that on the other side of “stressed out” is not calm, but trust. Trust in yourself and your ability to overcome and grow softer & more flexible in mind and body.

Which ones are on your top 3 this week?👇🏼

•Physical: sleep, rest pauses, yoga, nature, nervous system awareness, body work as massage

•Mental: set boundaries with yourself, Conscious breath, daylight exposure, digital detox

•Emotional: pause, journal, set boundaries with others, loving kindness meditation

•Social: reconnect, share, practice active listening, work / study in shared space

•Sensory: no screens, meditate, noice cancellation, dim lighting & enjoy silence or soft music without lyrics

•Creative: dream, explore new places, engage in new experiences, vision board, walking meditation

•Spiritual: be at service, volunteer, gratitude journal, spend time alone, meditate, observe
