Self-Care is Health Care. When you take the time to address, your hormones and stress, big changes can arise.

As an Integrative Nutrition* Health Coach, Rikki creates a supportive environment that enables you to articulate and achieve your goals. After educating herself on the most cutting-edge dietary theories and studying highly effective coaching techniques, Rikki Bradley Lifestyle Therapies really can help you find the right lifestyle that works best for you.

Most approaches to healthy eating dwell on calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, Rikki coaches her clients to explore basic improvements and implement gradual changes. By working together this inevitably & collectively creates a much larger impact than originally anticipated, simply by working on what the client wants to improve within the circumstances of their unique situation.

That's a wrap! Here are the essential oils for the final interviews of the It's Time! Interview Series.

I hope you've enjoyed these little snippets.

What is your absolute favourite essential oil? Is it one we've had in the series?

Moving is a big job! Not only the packing, but the cleaning, disconnecting, connecting, finding a new place to call home and doing all you can to make everything run smoothly and happen at the right time.

Challenging isn't it?

But there is also an element of excitement and opening to new adventures.

Whatever the reason you are moving it still creates a space of stress and disruption for your body, mind and heart. So be kind to yourself. Breathe. Know that moving house is considered one of the major life stresses you can experience. You're not alone.

Join Hayley and I as bring the It’s Time! Interview Series on Stress to an end with something a little bit different. Today we’re talking about using Reflexology for our Emotional Wellbeing.

Stress does not sit alone in our physical and emotional wellbeing. All systems and parts of our body are linked and reflect on each other. Doing more is not going to create less stress in our lives, our bodies, or our emotions.

Hayley brings a wealth of knowledge, calm, and passion to today’s conversation as we discuss the impact of our hormones and emotions and the need for calm and stillness in our journey with stress.

So, settle in with a smile, drink, pen, and paper as you get comfy for today’s calming conversation on the It’s Time Interview Series.

The essential oil for this interview is so fitting as it brings a level of wisdom to us that we didn’t know before.

The oil I am talking of is Sage (Salvia officinalis).

As is reflected in its name, a Sage is someone who is regarded as very wise. Someone who looks at all angles of life and provides holistic summations. So too does the essential oil of Sage. It digs deep into its ancient wisdom and transforms you to a higher level of understanding so you can delve deeper into yourself. Connecting your mind, heart, and body with the wisdom you have and continue to uncover in your beautiful journey of life.

You are all connected, each and every part of you, every thought and emotion. At a deeper level you know what you truly need in each and every moment. Sage can assist you to move from being disconnected from yourself and not knowing your hearts truth to connecting you to your inner wisdom and trusting in yourself.

Are you a fast or slow eater?

I'm usually a reasonably slow eater. But in this last week there has been a lot going on and I noticed I was eating a lot faster than usual. After a little reflection I realised I was not being mindful in my eating habits as I was caught up in being busy and thinking of the next thing.

We all need a reminder occasionally to slow down and check in with ourselves.

By taking the time to eat without interruption, chew thoroughly and listen to my body some of the changes I've noticed are:

🍎Calmer gut
🍎Reduced bloating
🍎Sharper mind
🍎Improved energy

If you've slipped like me, take a breath and reconnect. Give it a go and let me know how you get on.

It's Time! This week Hayely @FernReflexology opens the world of Reflexology for Emotional Wellbeing to us.

We made it! 50 Days of Me! (& you too!) Taking a real look at self-care and the many angles required to fully care for ourselves. We hit some self-care highs and lows over the last 50 days and that's ok.

I hope you were able to play along and have become more aware of your self-care needs, wants and desires. Self-care is a daily event, not a once in a blue moon.

Thank you for celebrating 50 years of me so far, you've got to know a bit about me and I thank everyone who has commented on the posts or messaged me privately. I want to appreciate you for taking the time for you. It's easy to put everyone else first, but you deserve to be at the top of your list. Believe it or not, if you look after you first you'll be better able to support those you love and do more of what brings you and the ones you love joy.

Keep up your self-care and I look forward to our next journey together.

If you'd like to journey into working together I'll be taking on a few clients in February and I'd love for you to join me. If you'd like to know more send me a message or head to the link at the top of my page and book in a free discovery session. I'd love to meet you and walk beside you. Take care and talk soon💕

Join Kay and I as we explore the various ways that Stress may be Impacting Your Relationship with Food.

Although we think eating and knowing what to eat should come naturally, when we are living in a place of stress our ability to do just that can become not only distorted, but a real challenge that can leave us frustrated and without direction. In our conversation today Kay explores with us many different avenues that can be impacting our relationship with food and ways to be kind to yourself while turning things around.

So, pull up a chair and grab a heart-warming drink as you get ready for today’s conversation. Don’t forget a pen and paper if you want to take notes from today’s It’s Time Interview.

This conversation took on a life of its own in several ways as did the essential oil selection below. Keep reading to find out how…

I have used the same process when selecting the essential oil for each of the interviews. But this interview wasn’t happy with one, so we have three essential oils to share this week and combined together they make a beautiful blend.

Keeping in tune with the topic of conversation the following essential oils assist us in bringing about the awareness and realisation of the relationship with self and food required to bring about the changes desired. Our oils are Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica), Rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora) and Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata).

To this blend Cedarwood brings a warm, woody, grounded feeling of safety. It takes a courageous heart to change our life patterns and Cedarwood delivers the strength and commitment required to embrace a new way of living.

While Rosewood brings a lightly woody, rose-like aroma of self-love. It allows you to be openly receptive to the awareness of your body, mind, and heart. Take the time to listen and tune in to what your inner wisdom is telling you and moving you to what you truly desire.

Finally, Ylang Ylang is a deep florally essence that is often not a favourite of mine, but it lends itself to this blend beautifully both in quality and aroma. In staying with our topic Ylang Ylang assists in breaking old patterns and works to transform our emotions towards growth in our relationships with ourselves, others, and food. Remember that emotions are energy in motion. With it’s deep intoxicating aroma it also lends itself to mindfulness and brings to the fore kindness and self-compassion.

If you are looking to blend for yourself, try a blend of Cedarwood 2d, Rosewood 3d and Ylang Ylang 1d and add to your diffuser.

Can you believe it? 50 Days of getting real with self-care and we've made it!

Have you been following along and taking the time to ensure you include some self-care into your day?

I hope you've found some benefit in this personal challenge. Self-care is an absolutely essential part of your healthcare. As I hope I have shown, it doesn't have to be complicated or expensive, but it does have to be included in your day. It also has to be planned for. There is no guarantee that maybe will happen. So plan to succeed.

As you go about your day remember to SMILE! Smiling has beautiful benefits for your own body chemistry, but also for those that you pass in your day. Surely you've heard how contagious smiles can be. 🙂🙂🙂

Thank you for joining me and I look forward to seeing you bringing self-care to your healthcare.

Remember if you're interested in finding out more about how working together could look for you send me a message or click on the link on my page. Stress, Hormones, Self-care...I've got you covered. Keep Smiling🙂

We couldn't do 50 days of self-care and not talk about fresh food.

We are so fortunate to have access to a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at our local supermarkets and farmers markets. But still many people are not getting the foundational requirements of fruit and vegetables.

There are many ways to incorporate them into your meals, a simple one to get you started is to eat a rainbow. Our fresh foods come in many different colours and each colour offers a different range of vitamins, minerals and goodness to your body. Your body will thank you for having a few different colours on your plate each meal.

If this is something you would like to explore more or you need help in getting more fresh food into your lifestyle send me a message or book in for a chat - the link is in my bio at the top of the page.

How much time do you spend in your head? It's easy to do. We often have a lot of different things happening in our lives. So we're often thinking, planning, organising, plotting routes, cooking meals, making calls, doing groceries and many other daily tasks. Problem is with all these thoughts running through our heads we become disconnected from our body and our heart. As such we feel like we are flitting from one thing to another.

So what can you do? Centre and Ground yourself.

A simple way to ground yourself is being barefoot on the earth for a few moments. While you are there take a few deep breaths and feel the earth beneath your feet and your breath moving in and out. This will help you return to you!

It's Time! This week we have a wonderful conversation with Kay @kaymiller.coaching about how Stress can Impact Your Relationship with Food.

When was the last time you went on a date? With your partner, yourself or a friend?

Going on a date can be a simple thing, but in the busyness of life it can become something to get to "ONE DAY"!

It doesn't have to cost much or you can save or splurge to see a dream date come to life. There is no right or wrong and what we each consider a special date can look vastly different.

Take a deep breath in and out and take a moment to think about what you would consider a special date for you?
🌹What would it look like?
🌹Where would it be?
🌹Who would be joining you?
🌹How would it make you feel?
🌹When can you make it happen?

Go ahead, start small and take yourself if need be out on a date because you deserve to have joy, fun and special times regardless of where you are in life.

A simple way to brighten you day and put a smile on your face is flowers.

They are wonderful for lifting your mood, bringing a beautiful aroma to your senses, they are visually pleasing and the best part is it doesn't matter how you get them. If you're fortunate enough to have a garden you can pick your own. If you have small children, there's a chance you'll have flowers collected for you. You can buy your own or be gifted them for many reasons. Even walking around flowers has an uplifting feeling for all your senses.

My important message to you is, don't wait for someone else. Buy or pick your own flowers. Brighten your days. Believe in your worth!

Play is an important part of wellbeing. But many are not adding any joy, laughter or play into their day

As we grow up we are told that play is for children, although we know that play has a place in the lives of every age group.

How do you like to play?

Rikki Bradley

Lifestyle therapies is about regaining your energy, maintaining your stress levels and enjoying your one precious life.

Let’s be crystal clear, life happens! It can lift you up and carry you in a direction you didn’t see coming in the blink of an eye. But that doesn’t have to be the end of it. You can regain your health, energy, self, and whatever it is that has you wondering and looking for more. You just have to take the first step.

By taking time for yourself you can learn and grow in so many ways. In the busyness of life we can often lose ourselves and lose sight of where we are and where we are going. This is the number one reason that I do what I do. As I have been lost, I have struggled, I have lived, studied and explored, searching for answers where I could find none. There is hope.

If you would like to find your energy, maintain your stress and feel alive in your body, mind and heart every day, let’s talk.
