And I guess the other incognita you might be wondering is ✨WHY ME?✨
To be honest, I don't have even the answer… so I can only reply, and WHY NOT?

Sometimes it looks like life leads your way without any apparent reason, when the truth is that everything has perfectly been designed and is in great order.

I believe that my personal circumstances, influenced by the beautiful people I've met along the way, have shaped my destiny in order for me to get to the place where I find myself in right now.

The colon cancer my mother overcame many years ago with her current Alzheimer disease, the lung cancer my father went through, the illness of my sister, the wrongly diagnosed asthma of my son, together with others chronic diseases in the family, made me embark on a personal, endless journey in search of answers that would improve the quality of life of my loved ones.

So, years ago I started to dream with creating a place, in a remote and tranquil spot, where people could go for healing and transformation, emphasizing nutrition and implementing healthy lifestyle habits. Where experts around the world could share their knowledge through their different holistic therapies to contribute with the consciousness of the world.

First time, I ever shared that out loud with someone, it was to my soul sister Yulia 🩷 on a plane to Portugal. Now, 5 years later, I can proudly announce the existence of Villa Mahalo 💚

Other of the questions that often raise among the people that know me from my years of living in London is ✨WHY LANZAROTE?✨ Why did you decide to create VILLA MAHALO 💚 there?

London was my home for over 14 years, where I grew up as a person, learnt some great skills and became who I am today. From London I took with me beautiful friendships that will last forever.

But as everything in life, there is a moment when you know that enough is enough and you need to move on. And when that moment arrived, in a search for sun and warm weather, we ended up moving to .

As soon as I step on this beautiful island, a feeling of belonging surrounded me and immediately I fell in love with the volcanic landscapes, the stunning crystal clear beaches, the warm weather and people. I loved the idea of being in shorts and flip flops all year round, being away from the noise and the busyness of the big cities.

And regarding Villa Mahalo, when it crossed my path, I really wasn't looking for a property. Therefore, I don't know what came first the chicken or the egg… Was me who found the perfect place to create holistic retreats or was the place who found me for it to be transformed in a healing and transformative site?

Whatever the answer is, I´m very happy and grateful ❤️ of being here in Villa Mahalo promoting consciousness to the world 🌍.

And all, thanks to my great friends ❤️, who supported and encouraged me along the winding path to finally get where I am now!!!

Many people ask me WHY ✨MAHALO✨? Where is coming from this name? So, let me tell you the story...

One evening I was brainstorming with 2 of my dear friends and . It was a long day and we were exhausted, but we were committed to find a great name for the villa and give it a purpose of existence!

It was clear to me that it should be a name that reflected the feeling I wanted for our clients to experience, but also a name that defined part of my identity, of who I am.

Therefore, I wrote 3 of my core values and we checked them one by one in different languages, as we checked their correspondent synonyms as well. We had so much fun and laugh checking docens of names on that evening of bounding together, but just when we were becoming a bit impatient to get it sorted... one of my friends said out loud "Mahalo". We looked at each other and without saying a word, we knew it was it. So, 3 of us smiled and immersed in a comforting and beautiful embrace!

✨Mahalo✨is the Hawaiian term to refer to Gratitude 💚and this is the wonderful feeling we aim for our clients to experience during their stay with us.

In Villa Mahalo we feel very grateful for life, for Mother Earth; and the fact of being able to share the richness of this beautiful island of with our clients fills us with joy, happiness, and fulfilment 🥳🥰
