I did, and that's how I decided to become a Personal Trainer myself. 😎

It seems that these days everybody is a "fitness guru" or a "personal trainer", and it may be easy to think, "hey look, now this girl is also doing fitness stuff on Instagram." 😏

Well, I will speak for myself & share my fitness background: I am a qualified professional personal trainer, and this was my main job when I was living in London for many years. I have extensive experience training customers on a 1-on-1 basis, both working for fitness centers & as a freelance Personal Trainer, and I also co-founded & run one of London's biggest mobile personal training companies.

I used to go to the gym and do random stuff, without really knowing why and how, no structure 🥴 Mmm, I'll do this machine now, then that one, then lift this thing a few times... totally clueless. 😅 I didn't really have any clear goals, until one day I realized how I wanted to look & feel (strong!). As I had no idea about how to actually achieve this, I enlisted the help of a personal trainer. I found the experience so motivating that I decided to become a trainer myself, to help others achieve their goals too. 💪🏽

1-on-1 personal training is my favourite coaching method, as it allows me to focus 100% on my customers, while ensuring that they retain the right energy and get the most out of each session.💥

We are so overloaded with {hmm, I'm trying to find the most appropriate word...} got it - 💩, and always in search of  "the top secret" 🔍, while we distance ourselves from our results more and more.

😎 Let's debunk 4 common ones:

❌Carbs are bad & make you “fat.” NO! 😫 Carbs are ESSENTIAL for being energized, healthy & strong. They are the main source of energy that your whole being needs - to breathe, to think, to move, to train, to live... to thrive. A lack of healthy complex carbohydrates affects the gut microbiome.

❌ "I cut out gluten and lost fat!" Honey, you didn't lose fat because of gluten - you just started eating less, depriving yourself from some food options. 😏 If you do actually are gluten intolerant (only about 1% of the world's population are), it makes sense to be gluten-free. For the 98% of people that don’t have gluten issues, whole grains are health promoting. Just like some have a peanut allergy, doesn’t mean everyone should avoid peanuts. Currently, there's not a single scientific study confirming any harmful effects on the intestines' of a HEALTHY person. The irony is that many celiac patients don't know their diagnosis, while millions of non-sufferers banish gluten from their lives. Plus...the gluten-free food industry is a big business. Should I make a post about this?🤔

❌ "Too much fruit is bad," said a human frugivore. 2 things: fruit will not make you fat & natural fruit sugar isn't the same as the artificially added sugar.🍉🍌

❌"Count calories & focus on calories in VS calories out." Much more important that counting calories is nutrients density + where the calories come from. It isn't the same eating 300 calories of cow cheese than of greens. I know, many can't cope with this and will insist that it's the same, but it isn't. 🙃 All calories have the same amount of energy, but different foods go through different biochemical pathways.

As knowing isn't always enough, we will learn how to apply these into action ⚙️

1. Let go of your past Self⁣⁣:

Decide what thoughts you can't bring to your desired "future" (=personal reality.) Write them down. Thoughts like, "I can't. I'll never change. I'll start tomorrow. It's someone else's fault..." Decide what behaviors & unconscious habits you need to change. How do you talk? Do you complain, blame, make excuses? Become VERY AWARE of those behaviors, and decide what emotions no longer belong in your future - so, if you want to be wealthy, you can't project scarcity. If you want to be healthy, you can't project fear. You have to begin to condition your body to your new Mind 👥

2. Disconnect:

Take time out of your busy life to disconnect from your known world. Shut your phone off, turn the TV & your computer off. Sit your body down, empty your Mind & just BE. Meditate to open the door between the conscious & subconscious minds and enter the operating system of the subconscious, where all of those unwanted habits & behaviours reside, & change them 💢

3. Create your future Self⁣⁣:

Ask yourself, "What do I want? Take your time to answer. No pressure. You don't have to figure your whole life out. As you begin to contemplate & think about the answer, you are changing your brain. When you make your brain fire in new sequences, that's the beginning step of changing your Mind. Next, decide what emotions you'll feel when you create your desired reality. Teach your body emotionally what it feels like & truly get to feel those emotions 💭 Be defined by a vision of your desired reality instead of by the conditioning of the past and anxieties of the unknown future.

4. Mental rehearsal:

Rehearse in your mind who you're going to be when you open your eyes. The things you have to do, the choices you have to make, the steps you have to take. As you mentally rehearse this, you imagine it over & over again until it becomes a part of you. 🧠

Appearances can be deceptive 🧐

Having considerable amounts of extra body fat is NOT really about looks, but about how it affects your body on the inside, and thus your overall health. Being overweight/obese has detrimental effects on your health, contributing to heart disease, cancers & many other chronic diseases. Obesity shouldn't be glamourized ❌

Heard of the Skinny-Fat person? Yep, someone can still look slim on the outside, but be fat on the inside... You most likely know someone like this. They tend to eat whatever unhealthy foods they want, don’t exercise much, or nothing at all, yet they still remain slim... on the outside.😏 They are often deemed ‘lucky’, but they are actually putting their health at risk without knowing it. And, unless changes are made, the fat will keep on accumulating progressively over time. Yes, these are the TOFIs of our world.

◾Fat can be split into 2 main categories:

1. Subcutaneous fat: the fat just sitting underneath the skin. It's visible, as it sits on the "outside."

2. Visceral fat: the fat that sits deeper inside the body and also around the organs. It can be a hidden killer, and contributes to high cholesterol, inflammation, diabetes, clogging of the arteries, heart disease & high blood pressure. This fat also produces inflammatory markers that circulate in the blood stream, which may cause other types of chronic diseases & cancers, and contribute towards hormonal issues.

Practically all obese people have high visceral fat, but so can slim people, so don’t be fooled.☝🏽

A common diagnosis of high visceral fat is Fatty Liver, which is often found due to unexplained pain/discomfort in the abdominal area or other digestive/abdominal issues.

⚠️The main factors that cause visceral fat are poor nutrition & lack of regular physical activity.

HOW TO AVOID & FIGHT VISCERAL FAT?

✔️A plant-based well-balanced nutrition focused on wholefoods
✔Eat plenty (lots!) of raw fruits & vegetables, as these contain important enzymes which are vital for a healthy metabolism
✔Avoid highly processed foods
✔ Reduce/avoid alcohol
✔ Exercise
✔ Sleep

Your Energy takes many forms: creative, mental, physical, soul, sexual... nowadays we even have "social media" energy!😬

Everyone has their own needs, desires, preferences & dreams. Many believe that putting yourself first is selfish, yet it's a must, as, no matter what happens, you'll always have your Self.🙃

You must satisfy your needs & wants. There is nothing wrong with this - these are your birthrights.

"I will change him/her and he/she will become a good person"
"I will save my husband from alcohol"
"I will sacrifice myself for X"

Who are you❓
Mother Theresa? The Messiah? The Holy Saviour?

Each person's path is individual. It's not your fault that your parents abandoned you, that your husband is an alcoholic, that your son a drug addict, or that your girlfriend is a shoplifter. Everyone chooses their own path INDEPENDENTLY.

You may end up hit by the very typical injustice of, "I have done so much good for X. I gave up everything, and in return all I've received is 💩"

Well, who asked you to do it? Who demanded you to give up your soul for them?
Was it really about them? Or was it about pleasing your ego to show what a great Saviour you are? Or did it come from your low self-esteem? "They deserve the best, I don't, so I help everybody." 🤔

You trampled over another person's choice, taking over their territory. Yes, you may have had great intentions, but you made a mistake by violating their choice.😒 Or did they ask for your help?

Then you end up losing vital Energy, and recharging may come at a high price.

❌ No one can be saved by force; TRESPASSING will hit you.

☑️ If they ASK for your help, that's a different thing, as you wouldn't be imposing yourself in an unwanted fashion.

Prioritizing yourself is not selfish - it's logical.

Protect your Energy, accumulate it & use it wisely, sharing it only with those who are able to receive your Light.☀️Doubts? 👉🏽If it feels right, that's your answer - t's right! Follow your Soul's warm light.🔥 Anything else can take you down the path of self-destruction.

Save yourself first, then others…

THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO BE WISE.

They will call you

💥 CRAZY, because you have the gift of seeing things differently... and that bothers them. They don't want you to reason or question anything.

💥WEIRD, because you think differently, and act in ways that are out of the ordinary & "normal"... and that does not benefit them. They want you ignorant, limited & submissive.

💥ABSURD, because you create your own reality and your way of living to your own liking... and that does not suit them. They want you to be dependent on them.

💥 SELFISH, because you learned that your inner work is crucial... and that doesn't serve them, because you take away their power to intimidate you.

💥CONSPIRACY THEORIST, because you saw the control and manipulation that the systems try to exert against you... and that scares them. They don't want you to wake up.

💥DANGEROUS, because you broke out of the mold and don't follow the masses... and that makes them desperate. They want you as a programmable, obedient & a good slave-robot.

💥DREAMER, because you believe in yourself & follow your soul-consciousness... and they don't like that, because their deceptions will have no effect on you.

💥REBEL, for disobeying, for not letting yourself be trampled & not cowering in fear... and that hurts them, because then they won't be able to control & manipulate you.
 
💢The higher your level of consciousness, the more misunderstood you will be. You will be hated, ridiculed, rejected, and the labels will keep on coming. Because no Elite, no State and no "power group" wants you to be wise - it goes against the fundamentals of the {conveniently created as} broken system.

The wise ones are rebels with innate freedom, and so become a threat, and very dangerous... Dangerous to the system, to those in power, to "the experts", to organized & materialistic religions, to all kinds of exploitation, oppression, suppression & deception. They even seem dangerous to the dormant masses that fit into the obedient society; entertained, asleep & without a mind of their own.

🤍 There is no greater privilege than to follow your Soul's will.

🧠Time for some Mindset Empowerment!

Don’t fight for what you want – Claim it.

There’s this saying that goes: "You must fight for what you want." I don’t like the use of the word “fight” in this scenario, as it entails the existence of an external resistance and a struggle. How can we allow to receive our desires when we feel we are struggling and fighting against the world? It wouldn't work, as these are two strong opposing vibrational energies.❗

🔘 Think of it as a river - the river of (your human) life: instead of violently fighting against the current, follow the current while softly adjusting the direction and steering the boat as needed, to take you where you want to go. No struggle.

⭕ An important point here is to avoid falling for what you hear many regurgitating: “Just go with the flow, the Universe has your back.” No, the Universe does not have your back. Stop shifting responsibility. YOU make things happen, starting in your Mind.

The same goes for the "you can't lose anything that's meant for you, and what's meant for you will be yours." Not true, as you can absolutely lose what's meant to be for you (= what you truly desire). It happens so often because people are masters of self-rejection & self-sabotaging. Feeling unworthy & fear do this to you. 😒

🌊Go in the same direction as the river flows, but know that you are still in control of the steering. To the right/left, avoiding that rock, stopping to rest and eat some delicious coconuts, settle in that beautiful spot that you find so perfect... You make things happen; it’s your journey & your boat.

Have a vision – Your Vision.
Do you want that job? That dream partner? That physique? That skill?
Don't cower in silence! 👊You must project your outer Intention > what you desire. Have no qualms to express so, put it out there.

Don’t expect the Universe to give it to you while you don’t even bother being honest with yourself & feel unworthy of it. Get rid of that scarcity mindset and dare to claim what’s yours, honouring your Soul’s contract. 🤍

There’s no need to fight to get it, as it’s yours. BUT you *must* claim it as such, as many times as it takes. See the difference? 🙌🏽

❌MYTH 1: YOU CAN TURN FAT INTO MUSCLE:

One of the most ridiculous myths out there 😩 Turning fat into muscle is an impossible mission, because it's impossible to turn one type of tissue (fat) into a different one (muscle). Our body composition changes when we get to increase or decrease fat/muscle ratios.

It's frustrating to see some self-proclaimed gurus claiming that some foods can magically transform fat into muscle. Without a magic wand. Harry Potter would be seriously impressed! 💫

And yes, it's possible to both get rid of fat & build muscle at the same time, as we are talking about two types of different tissue. You can decrease one while increasing the other, just not transform one into the other.

❌MYTH 2: THE BEST WAY TO LOSE FAT IS CARDIO:

When it comes to losing fat in the most optimal way while also toning up, strength training is King. Check out the comparison:

▪️Cardio:

* Fat burning effect stops as soon as you stop
* If overdone, it can easily result in looking skinny-fat
* Poor progressive overload options

▪Strength training:

* Fat burning effect continues after 24-48 hours, plus longer, as it speeds up metabolic rate
* Builds healthy muscle, makes you stronger, sculpting effect, plus you look better naked
* Many variations & progressions

I'm not saying that running (& stuff like yoga) is bad. Any exercise is good, so if you enjoy this stuff go for it. But if your goal is to lose fat efficiently AND to get a sculpted body, exclusively doing these will not bring the results you seek. 🏆

❌MYTH 3: WEIGHTLIFING MAKES WOMEN BULKY:

Please make it go away 😫 Many women are afraid of lifting, which is a huge mistake, as having more healthy muscle mass instead of extra fat means that your body will look toned, lean & nicely defined. Getting "too muscly" won't happen by accident! Increasing lean muscle mass doesn't automatically translate into getting a huge set of muscles and looking like The Hulk. It takes specific dedicated work, and women have a different hormonal profile than men, with less testosterone, which  has an impact when it comes to putting on muscle mass. 💪🏽
