Dear All,

Starting in July 2020, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, LMU Munich, Germany, has an opening for a resident in veterinary dermatology. The residency is a three year programme, approved both by the ACVD and the ECVD. The clinic is located in the centre of Munich. We have a good case load and good interaction with other specialists in veterinary anaesthesia, cardiology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, neurology, nutrition, oncology, physiotherapy, radiology, radiation therapy and surgery. Colaborations exist with the equine hospital and the zoo. Journal club, book club, and histopathology training are scheduled weekly and held in English. Interaction with clients typically occurs in German (so being fluent in German is a precondition for the position), although we do have a number of foreign clients from various countries, of which many prefer English as the language of communication. There is another dermatology resident as well as fellow residents in cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, oncology in the same clinic, so nobody feels alone in facing the challenges. And of course, there are the beer gardens ....
