Why does my back hurt when I wake up? We get this question a lot — and it usually comes down to one (or more) of these:
💤 Your sleeping position: Side sleepers usually do best. Stomach sleeping can twist your spine and strain your neck — not ideal for waking up pain-free.
🛏 Your mattress & pillow: If your bed isn’t giving enough support, your spine may be out of alignment for hours. The right setup makes a huge difference.
🧠 Tension from stress or posture: Tight muscles from daily stress or bad posture can carry over into your sleep — and you wake up sore, stiff, or both.
🦴 And sometimes… your spine just needs a little TLC.
