Why Yoga?
"Yoga has been a huge part of my life for many years. Growing up in England I was always a person that found my peace within movement, attending dance school and eventually becoming a professional belly dancer and African dancer, still something was missing. I moved to America when I was 20 years old and dropped into a yoga class, because I saw a friend doing a beautiful headstand moving her legs in a meditative motions on the top of a mountain at sunset. I wanted to do that, wow! but also I heard that yoga helps you to become more flexible, which is great for dancers. On attending the classes with my first teacher Betsy Ceva, she introduced me to so much more than my limited understanding of the practice, she taught me dance, meditation, philosophy, science, anatomy, understanding people, appreciating my environment and my world, living a healthy lifestyle and connecting me with open honest, contented people striving for a better world. From then on I was hooked and eventually wanted to share this knowledge with others. So why Yoga, yoga is a way of life."
