Living off grid is amazing no electricity bill, no outage when the rest of the country is in chaos (I’m sure this will become more common🌎)

However, you do have to be in tune with the haze!!! Sometimes on the hottest days aka yesterday (almost 40 here in a valencia) it does not fully charge because the weird haze blocks the sun!!!!

I have an app (which im@obsessed with checking) so I can check my solar levels & adjust usage and today I’ve put generator on …just to boost it as I like it on in afternoon & all night too!

Off grid living makes you do much more aware of how much energy you consume, how much water you use (waste) It just makes you more in tune…..If you want to sample off grid living in my little Spanish casita drop me a dm I’ll be welcoming friends from September post Olive harvest season (have 70

White fig season is here which means I have to fight the wasps for possession of my yummy figs.

Figs are so good for you they are a great source of fibre, are packed full of vitamins & although super sweet can help with blood sugar!!!

I made three jars of compote which i’ll eat with cheese, salads & as desert!

Today i had for breakfast - I mixed with nuts & seeds and greek yoghurt and topped with local lavender honey & bee pollen 🐝 was soooo good!

I need some more fig inspo so pop ideas in comments for me⬇️
