Before sādhana, I begin with śabda (the singing bowl).
Its resonance clears the vāyu (energetic space), draws the senses inward (pratyāhāra), and invites presence. I light incense as a symbol of purification and intention.
🌀 Why I practice this way:
The sound harmonises prāṇan and soothes the manas (mind).
It purifies the field, dissolves asat (disharmony), and invokes sattva (clarity).
Followed by mantra japa, it entrains the mind into sacred rhythm.
Mantra amplifies sankalpa (intension), nāda (sound) layered upon nāda, vibration upon vibration. Together, they quiet egoic noise and awaken the hridaya (spiritual heart).
I begin with OM ,the primal sound, bija (seed) of all mantras. It tunes body, mind, and koshas into alignment.
Through sacred sound, I tune in and tune out.
Trust in vibration, as vāraṇa (shield).
This is how I begin, attuned and aligned with dharma.
