Biomedical equipment technicians are responsible for inspecting, calibrating, testing, and repairing medical equipment, and do so by using a variety of tools and computer applications.

1. Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and performance assurance inspections on equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions.

2. Test and calibrate components using a variety of manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and. code requirements.

4. Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and accurate.

5. Repair and replace complex biomedical equipment and systems.

6. Install and adjust a variety of biomedical and research equipment.

7. Diagnose equipment malfunctions with accuracy and precision.
