We thank the University of Gondar for honoring the legacy of President Harry S. Truman by naming its Main Library at Atse Tewodros Campus the Truman Library. This tribute recognizes President Truman’s pivotal role in launching the Point Four International Cooperation Program, which helped establish the Gondar Public Health College and Training Center in 1954—now the renowned University of Gondar.
Unveiled on August 6, 2025, during the University’s 70th anniversary and the Teaching Hospital’s 100th anniversary celebrations, this milestone underscores the enduring collaboration between the United States and Ethiopia in education, public health, and community development.
We are proud to celebrate this shared history and look forward to continuing this impactful partnership!

This patient was admitted mid may (ግንቦት)

He is a 19 years old patient who sustained high voltage electrical injury and presented to ER after 15 minutes of post incident with overt cardiac arrest.

CPR initiated at triage defibrilated 3 times ,7 cycle of CPR done, cardioverted 2 times, intubated and cared at red side, then he was transfered to surgical ICU.

With the help of extensive emergency and critical care given by the vibrant team of UoGCSH ECCM led by Dr Teklegiorgis Goshimie and the ICU team, he survived with full functionality and discharged improved.

NB:- Oral consent was taken from the patient and his brothers Left and right for the photo shot and social media post.

Team work always prevails.

የጎንደር ዩኒቨርሲቲ አጠ/ስፔ / ሆስፒታል አባል ሆስፒታሎችን ጥምረት ለጥራት በሚል በመረጃ የተደገፈ ህክምና ጤና አገልግሎት ስርዓት( EHAQ)4th Cycle EBC በጥሩ ሁኔታ እየተገበረ ይገኛል ።

ተቋማት የተሻለ የህክምና ጥራት አገልግሎት ከመስጠት ና ከማስጠበቅ አንፃር በቂ የተሟላ የህክምና ቁሳቁስ መኖሩ እሙን ነው።

በመሆኑም በጎንደር ዩኒቨርሲቲ አጠ/ ስፔ / ሆስፒታል ስር የሚገኘ የማክሰኝት የመጀመሪያ ደረጃ ሆስፒታል በቅርብ ጊዜ ሥራ የጀመረና ጥሩ ደረጃ በሚባል ለማህበረሰቡ አገልግሎት እየሰጠ ሲሆን ለአስተኝቶ ህክምና ለእናቶች የሚሆን 30 የታካሚ አልጋና ፍራሽ በጎንደር ዩኒቨርስቲ ሆስፒታል ተበርክቶለታል ።

የሆስፒታሎችን ጥምረትን ለጥራት እውን እያደረጉ ላሉ ከፍተኛ አመራሮች ዳይሬክተሮች ምስጋናችን ከልብ ነው ።

100ኛ ዓመት የምስረታ በዓል አስመልክቶ የተዘጋጀ የሩጫ ውድድሩ ዩኒቨርሲቲያችን በዕውቀት፤ በምርምር፣ በጤናዉ ዘርፍ እና በማኅበረሰብ አገልግሎት ላበረከተው አስተዋፅኦ የምንዘከርበት በዓል ነው።
ስለሆነም፡
1ኛ. ሁሉም የዩኒቨርሲቲያችን ማኅበረሰብ
2ኛ. መላው የጎንደር ከተማ ነዋሪዎች
3ኛ. ጥምቀትን ምክንያት በመድረግ ቆይታችሁን ጎንደር ላይ ያርጋችሁ ኢትዮጵያዊያን እና የዉጭ ሃገር ጎብኝዎች በዉድድሩ
እንድትሳተፉና የታሪካችን ታካፋይ እንዲሆኑ በማክር ተጋብዘዋል፡፡
