Eyu Clinic is an institution providing various outpatient services like medically & surgically treated patients. Since mid of August 2020 the clinic has performed 2880 free surgeries for the poorest community and make them productive. In our school project, since 2013 we had screened around 14,000 students in 28 schools and distributed free eye glass for 603 students.]

Our partners have been steadfastly working all year to reach patients. They continue to provide essential eye care to patients in need despite the added difficulties that the pandemic has imposed.

So far this year, the Eyu Ophthalmic Clinic, one of our partners in Ethiopia, has already completed over 1,600 cataract surgeries. The clinic anticipates being able to cure an additional 200 more cataract-blind patients before the year's end. Local partners are essential in reaching blind patients close to where they live.

34 year-old mother, and her oldest child, both suffered from cataracts. Both mother and son were able to see again after successful cataract surgeries at Eyu Clinic in Hosanna. Ashenafi is excited to go back to school and have normal life like other children at his village and his mother hopes to help support her family once again.

What have you had that lasted 38 years? This man had been unable to get a new pair of glasses for 38 years. Thanks to the help of HCP we were able to fit this man with a new pair of glasses, giving him a fresh outlook on life.
