This week was all about leveraging data for improved public health outcomes in the Sidama region. I had the privilege of facilitating and participating in two impactful events:
Training on Qualitative Data Analysis, Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analysis: In partnership with the Sidama Regional Information Platform for Nutrition, as I'm as a member of team RIPN of Sidama facilitated to deliver training on utilizing qualitative data analysis software and conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses. This insightful session equipped participants and RIPN Team with crucial skills to generate robust evidence using secondary data.
Second event was Advocacy for Regional Data Management & Analytics: we presented the newly developed systems and website of the regional data management and analytic center to staff at the Sidama Public Health Institute. The focus was on advocating for the adoption and utilization of these tools to streamline data management and analysis for improved public health decision-making.
These experiences underscore the power of data-driven approaches to strengthen public health initiatives. I'm excited to see the positive impact of these efforts in Sidama!
