Yoga has given me so much over the years. I really enjoy the repetitive cycle of learning-practicing-teaching. 🔄✨ But what I love the most is spreading love, bringing joy and helping others connect with themselves. 🤍

Among the countless benefits of , some of my favorites are:
🔸 physical health (especially muscle, ligament, tendon and joint health)
🔸 mental clarity
🔸 resilience
🔸 patience
🔸 calmness
🔸 self-discovery
🔸 self-awareness
… and as a result of all these, self-connection. 🤍

Happy to share that I'll soon start teaching yoga classes at Elixia Finland, in downtown Helsinki. 😊 In addition to my current Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, and "Basic" Yoga knowledge, this fall I'll take part in a Yin Yoga education as well, and from January 2023 I'll be here for you with that style, too. 🧘‍♀️ ☯️

Here’s a secret. 🌀 The aim of a good yoga practice is not stretching. It is to feel connected to ourselves and others surrounding us. 💜

In these weird times of disconnection, it’s more important than ever to spend time to connect. In any way possible!! First and foremost, we gotta connect with our own bodies and minds and only then with others. Cause if the first one isn’t in its place, it will be quite challenging to truly connect with anyone else.

Make peace with yourself first.
Nourish yourself first.
Have fun with yourself first.
Connect with yourself first.
And trust that the rest will follow. 💖

Yoga is a great tool to get to this connection. So just keep calm and roll your mat out!

Did you know that there are three (3!) simultaneous pandemics going on in the world right now? 🤯 The first is the epidemic of the coronavirus; the second is the current financial crisis; and the third is the anxiety and panic. — So much to deal with! 😣

But the good news is that, since everyone is responsible for their own physical and mental , there are things we all can do to significantly reduce the stress that all these three are causing. For example, regularly practicing and/or will trigger our bodies' relaxation response - instead of the already busy flight-or-fight response. Which is exactly what we need to have a strong immune system! 📈 👌

Evidence of yoga and meditation as an adjunctive treatment for coronavirus patients show that inflammation in the body can be reduced. Moreover, building a 'protective shield' of immunity helps with neurological symptoms and hormone regulation as well.

Tuesday food for thought. 💡 It turns out that being positive isn't as important as being optimistic. is about being in a dark tunnel and still seeing the light. Back bending, hip opening and heart opening. Right now, all these three feel super tough.

Sitting and working from home all day in mostly unergonomic positions makes my hips tighter and stiffer than usual. On top of that, even though I try to sit upright, after a while I find myself hunching again and again. Meh. So annoying. 🙄 Can you relate to these too?

Being a super social Aquarius, I really miss face-to-face interactions (like most of us, I suppose...) and just a lot of things feel heavy at the moment. 🌪 BUT! Physical exercise, good nutrition and optimistic thinking give me good energy and keep me going. 👌

What helps you getting through this challenging period?
