What are your plans for this Sunday? Do you need some rest? I mean, ACTUAL rest, that restores and recharges your body and mind✨

Join my mini-retreat session in the center of Jyväskylä. We will be doing mindfulness practices for body awareness and some relaxation with singing bowls and visualization. Also, a little bit of gentle movement and, of course, a few cups of exquisite Chinese tea😏

All classes in my drop-in group, starting tomorrow and in October are for FREE for first-timers. Come and join your first session for free. And then stay with us to keep a regular practice with some group support 😌

Long time no see! Autumn is in the air, it means I have some good news for you 😜 Drop-in practice in my studio is resuming! Register and join any time! And on top of that, I have TWO very affordable Mindfulness courses for this autumn, offered through Kansalaisopisto!☺️ They are in Finnish.

There will be a course for JYU staff in October, it will be in English. Send me a message, if you want some information (it's not yet out).

Welcome to my afternoon retreat on 22.3!

This Mindfulness dive will be all about restoring balance! It comes right after the March Equinox, when day and night are the same length. Through this point of balance in the nature, we can set our mind on a balance in the mind and in the body. Balance is the best spot, from which you can make plans, grow and move towards flourishing. We will do some basic Mindfulness practices, Unified Mindfulness practices and, of course, some spring-themed NSDR (non-sleep deep rest). Here is the schedule:

Introduction and intention
Relaxation with visualization and singing bowls
Mindfulness of breathing
Body scan standing up
Walking meditation
Mindfulness of breathing (again)
Loving kindness
See Hear Feel (or Open Presence)
Small group sharing, mindful connection
Group sharing and tea

Even a short retreat is an intense journey and can be not only therapeutic, but also quite challenging. It is not recommended to participate in intensive silent meditation sessions, if you are suffering from acute and clinical mental health conditions. You can take a break during the retreat, if you need to, but it's better to complete it till the end. Feel free to contact me about any possible hesitations, I don't want anyone to have a negative experience. When participants are open to the challenge, it goes well and is very beneficial.

The retreat will be in English. The participation fee is €55 and €40 for students, unemployed etc. The space has cushions, yoga matts, cups. Some chairs are available. Feel free to bring your own meditation gear and anything that will make you feel more comfortable. The space fits 7 people max. You may feel a bit sensitized after the retreat, so it's a good idea not to plan anything stressful for the evening.

Tomorrow in my group I'll be guiding Shinzen Young's signature technique, See Hear Feel. This practice is short, but potent, simple, but different 🦄
In See Hear Feel you allow your mind to roam free, focusing on whatever it wants to focus on. But you remain mindful of where your attention goes and label each element with either See, Hear or Feel. It can be done in different ways, powerfully activating or opposite - relaxing. We will talk specifically about observing external and internal events with this practice and the interesting effects it can have on your relationship with your experience.
