โ€‹Today is World Liver Day, and at Pacific Babies, weโ€™re focusing on how to keep our little ones' livers healthy and strong.

โ€‹The liver is like a hardworking "filter" for the body, and catching any issues early makes a huge difference.

Here are 5 common liver conditions we look out for in children:

๐Ÿฉบ Biliary Atresia: A blockage in the tubes that carry bile. This usually shows up in newborns as yellow skin (jaundice).

๐Ÿฉบ Hepatitis A, B, and C: Viral infections that can cause liver swelling. Thankfully, vaccines are a great way to prevent many of these!

๐ŸฉบFatty Liver Disease: This can happen even in kids if they have a diet high in sugar and processed foods.

๐Ÿฉบโ€‹Metabolic Disorders: Rare conditions where the body has trouble turning food into energy, which can stress the liver.
