***A Case Of Follicular Adenoma***
Clinical Indication:- Left thyroid swelling.
FINDINGS:-
Left Thyroid Lobe mildly heterogeneous Echotexture and a well-defined, encapsulated, solid nodule is noted in the left lobe.
• Size: 19.6 × 15. 8mm
• Echogenicity: Isoechoic to mildly hypoechoic.
• Margins: Smooth and regular.
• Halo sign: Present (thin peripheral halo).
• Cystic areas: Minimal present.
• Calcification: No micro/macro-calcifications.
Color Doppler Evaluation:-
• Peripheral vascularity: Prominent.
• Internal vascularity: Mild present.
• No abnormal high-velocity flow.
• No evidence of intranodular chaotic vascular pattern.
Cervical Lymph Nodes:-
• No suspicious lymphadenopathy.
IMPRESSION:-
Features are suggestive of Follicular Adenoma of the Left Thyroid Lobe.
(Well-defined encapsulated solid nodule with halo sign and peripheral vascularity is noted.)
Recommendation:-
• Correlation with TFT.
• FNAC advised for cytological confirmation.
• Follow-up ultrasound as clinically warranted.
