Antimicrobial resistance occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites evolve and no longer respond to the medications that once killed them or inhibited their growth. This makes infections harder to treat and increases the risk of spreading resistant infections.

💡How to help prevent AMR:
- Only use antibiotics when prescribed by a doctor.
- Never self-medicate or share antibiotics.
- Complete the full course of prescribed medication.
