Reiki is an alternative healing, rediscovered at the end of the 19th century by Dr. Usui. Reiki does not have any relationship with any religion or spiritual movement. It is a technique that is neutral and is using the energy of the Universe, the energy that exists around us.
Reiki means in Japanese 'Universal Energy' or 'Universal Life force'. Healing with energy is a principle known for centuries. Our body is regulated by an energy flow, called Qi in Chinese, Ki in Japanese or Prana in Hindi.
If the energy is not circulating properly, it may be due to an excess or deficiency of energy. These blockages are the root of a lot of issues that we may face in a daily basis: back pain, headache, fatigue, bad digestion, insomnia…
Rebalancing our energy enables us to heal the problem at its root. These symptoms are less likely to reappear again.
Using reiki can help to detect these blockages and rebalance the energy. Reiki can help physical, emotional, mental and spiritual symptoms.
WHY RECEIVING A REIKI HEALING?
Reiki is an alternative healing method for the ones who want to avoid chemical drugs and the side effects that it may imply. This therapy is particularly effective on physical pain but also on emotional illness (depression, lack of self confidence, insomnia…). It can also be used to rebalance our energy and to be rejuvenated.
Anyone can receive a healing: healthy people, people with chronic diseases, toddler to elderly, even animals.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO RECEIVE A REIKI HEALING?
A reiki treatment can be done seated or laid down. The patient only needs to be in a comfortable position and relax. Everybody is different and what we experience is unique. Some people may have the impression to release negative energies… Some people may see colors or have visions, similar to a dream.
These effects are normal and you should not worry if you do not feel anything or see anything. Trust the energy. Similar to the WiFi, we cannot see it or feel it, but it does exist. Only sensitive people are able to feel it. After the treatment, it is recommended to drink a lot of warm water to evacuate the toxins.
WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT AFTER A REIKI HEALING?
- One of the most common results is a better sleep
- Pain release
- Emotional balance
- Feeling energized, good mood
HOW DO TIBETAN SINGING BOWLS WORK?
Tibetan singing bowls have existed for more than 2,500 years. They are used for relaxation, meditation and healing. Similar to reiki, the principle is that illness is a manifestation of disharmony within the body: it could be an imbalance in the cells or a given organ. A body is considered healthy when each cell, organ.. is in harmony with the entire body.
We all have a natural inner harmony. But in our daily life, we are exposed to disharmony. Who has never been bothered by loud noises, horns honking, people yelling, doors slamming? All these noises generate vibrations which our body feels. Disharmony is inevitable. If we return harmony to our body, our lives can be transformed.
Each bowl has a specific sound and frequency and can restore the normal vibratory frequencies of an organ or specific spot in our body. These sounds have been used to heal stress disorders, pain, depression, insomnia…
Tibetan singing bowls are one of the strongest musical instruments for healing with sound therapy and vibrations. They are called singing bowls because their sound continues to float for a long time after we have played on them. These bowls can be used for meditation, sound bath healing (all of the bowls are placed around the patient, in order to rebalance each chakra) or used with reiki.
Contraindication:
Unlike reiki, not everyone should use Tibetan singing bowls. It is not recommended for:
- pregnant women (especially during the first 12 weeks)
- pacemaker and BS (a deep brain stimulation device) users
- people who have epilepsy
- people who have just went through a major surgery
