In Spring it's wonderful to imagine you are a flower with your spine as a growing green stem and your head and face a big open daisy or sunflower - this can make us all smile while doing yoga. ...But more seriously - your spine really IS the "green stem" of your body and we should treat it as our "fountain of youth". Every day move your spine in the ways it moves naturally: twists, forward fold, arching, crunching, bending side to side like a "c" with your spine. Doing this a few times a day in different body postures (sitting, standing, lying down) can improve your mobility and actually give you more energy (and less aches and pain if done kindly and carefully). So have fun "being a flower" and grow your green stem!
