The Guangzhou Opera House has been the catalyst for the development of cultural facilities in the city including new museums, library and archive. The Opera House is at the heart of Guangzhou’s cultural development. Its unique twin-boulder design enhances the city by opening it to the Pearl River, unifying the adjacent cultural buildings with the towers of international finance in Guangzhou’s Zhujiang new town. The Opera House design is the latest realization of Zaha Hadid Architects’ unique exploration of contextual urban relationships, combining the cultural traditions that have shaped Guangzhou’s history, with the ambition and optimism that will create its future. The 1,800-seat auditorium of the Opera House houses the very latest acoustic technology, and the smaller 400-seat multifunction hall is designed for performance art, opera and concerts in the round. The design evolved from the concepts of a natural landscape and the fascinating interplay between architecture and nature; engaging with the principles of erosion, geology and topography.

The Novartis strategy is built around spurring innovation to improve health care for people.
This is the main driving force behind the substantial overhaul and modernization of the company’s headquarters at the St. Johann site in Basel. The headquarters was once marked by smoking stacks and fuming chimneys.
Today, it supports a diverse and multinational workforce dedicated to researching, developing, and producing healthcare solutions to benefit people around the world. Novartis Campus Basel St. Johann lies in a traditional city quarter along the banks of the Rhine River. Over the past decade, it has been transformed into a state-of-the-art workspace for more than 7,000 associates.
When the project was launched in 2001, Novartis Chairman Daniel Vasella said the Campus design should center on the productive well-being of associates. It reflects changing work requirements in a dynamic business environment that thrives on communication, creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration. The former industrial complex of the work area St. Johann in Basel - both global headquarters of Novartis - is converted into a pioneering center for research, development and management since 2001.
The project is based on a master plan with a time horizon up to 2030. The campus is designed to provide optimal conditions for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. The buildings are designed by renowned architects from around the world, such as Frank Gehry, Renzo Piano, David Chipperfield, Tadao Ando, Marco Serra, Sanaa - to name just some of the current star architects who have already come into play.

Located in Dublin, Ireland, Designed by Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates LLC, The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) is Ireland’s new world-class, purpose-built international conference and event venue located in Spencer Dock. Its stunning design includes a unique glass-fronted atrium running the full height of the building which gives visitors panoramic views of the River Liffey, Dublin’s city centre, and the Wicklow mountains The CCD offers 22 multi-functional, flexible rooms suitable for meetings, conferences and exhibitions of all shapes and sizes – from small corporate meetings to international congresses. There are 4,500 sq m of exhibition space, a 2,000 seat auditorium, and banquet facilities seating up to 2,000 guests. The entire venue is finished to the highest specifications and incorporates the latest technology throughout. The site is a portion of the Spencer Dock Development’s regeneration of the National Railway’s abandoned brown field rail yard bounded by the Royal Canal, North Wall Quay, and Mayor Street. The brief and site required a vertical stacking arrangement. The lobby and circulation foyers are enclosed by a dramatic glass atrium. Stairs, escalators, and lifts create an exciting processional moving up through the atrium. The foyers support a variety of activities beyond circulation; event registration areas, breakout / discussion spaces and food/bar service. The public will be encouraged to enter the ground level lobby to experience the atrium, view temporary exhibitions and art exhibits, or review an electronic display of upcoming events. Recognised as the first carbon neutral convention centre, this contemporary design meets the highest standards of environmental sustainability. Materials, systems, construction techniques, and maintenance procedures were selected to provide the most sustainable building possible. Convenient to several modes of transportation, the CCD is located beside the new ‘LUAS’ tram line with its own station, is minutes from Dublin Port Ferry Terminal, and is only 20 minutes from Dublin Airport.

This marvelous building is the Porsche museum in Stuttgart Germany. The brand Porsche is worldwide known and famous for its great looking and fast sports cars. But this architecture design is very impressive also. Inside you will see the entire history of Porsche AG. The display area in the Museum is around 5600 square meters and in any time you will find at least 80 different expeditions. You can see many rare models and also a variety of historical for Porsche cars. The designer behind this project and in particular the building is Delugan Meissl. The expedition area is designed by HG Merz.

The final cost for this modern looking and functional museum was around 100 million Euros. The work for the design and main concept for Porsche museum in Stuttgart began in 2003. There are sections in the museums with different themes. The “Porsche Idea“ section focuses on specific, trailblazing technical solutions for interesting challenges from nearly all areas of mobility. Visitors can learn about the values, motivation, and philosophy driving the company throughout its history and to its ultimate success.

The “Product History" section is a chronologically arranged presentation of the history of Porsche sports cars from its beginnings in 1948 to the latest models with all their technological diversity and stylistic individuality. “Thematic Islands” focus on particular, especially important aspects of Porsche history. Some of them, like “Evolution 911,” are dedicated to specific model series. Others bring together vehicles from different eras, for example in the splendid motorsport history of “Le Mans.”
