My client was procrastinating on things like important emails, decisions for her future…She told me “My brain is working against me. I know what I should do… but I just don’t do it.”

On the surface, it looked like “no discipline”.
Under hypnosis, we found that her subconscious had linked action with past disappointment and failure.
So every time she tried to move forward, her brain quietly pulled the brakes: If you don’t start, you can’t fail. If you avoid it, you stay safe. Procrastination wasn’t sabotage but it was protection.

October went by in a blink. The closer we get to the end of the year, the faster everything seems to move. 😅

But what a beautiful month it was:
✨ New clients, new projects, new ideas taking shape.
🏰 A magical trip to Disneyland.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Many friends & family moments, laughter, Halloween fun, and running miles.
☀️ A few days in Miami, my happy place.
I love pausing to look back because our brain actually needs that pause.
When we replay positive memories, our subconscious mind anchors them deeper. That’s how joy, confidence, and motivation become long-lasting.

Now stepping into November with new energy, new light, and a slower pace.

Stress isn’t only what happens to us, it’s what our brain makes of it. 🧠

Every stressful experience follows 3 stages:
1. The event: something happens (a flight, a deadline, a doctor’s appointment).
2. The interpretation: our brain gives it meaning: “I’m not safe”, “I’m not in control”, “I can’t fail.”
3. The reaction, our body responds: tension, racing heart, shallow breathing…

That’s why two people can face the same situation and one stays calm while the other feels overwhelmed.
It’s not a question of strength, it’s about conditioning. Our stress responses are learned patterns and that means they can be retrained.

Lately, I’ve noticed something that makes me a bit sad…
Fewer smiles.
Especially in places where you’d expect them: at the bakery, at a front desk, at a café.
And yet, smiling is one of the most powerful & natural things we can do for ourselves and for others.

Neuroscience shows that a simple smile releases dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins: the same chemicals that lift our mood and calm our nervous system. Our brain doesn’t even know if it’s real or fake, it just reacts as if it were genuine.

This is exactly how hypnosis and mind training work: we send new, positive messages to our subconscious mind until it learns a different response.
