The majority of the success of your garden harvest depends on 3 factors —-> 1) understand your environment, 2) choose the right plant for those conditions ( think temperature and sun requirements), 3)Taking care of and improving your soil.
After some trials, mistakes, and lots of study 📚, starting with good soil is the number 1 thing I found that is crucial to determining the success of my garden. Healthy soil means that the plant is able to thrive in an environment that supports its growth through natural nutrient exchange and protection, with the help of abundant microorganisms that live in the soil and on the plant 🪴🥰 Soils can be improved by introducing microorganisms via composts 🪱Creating homemade compost is a great way to use up scrap organic materials like kitchen veggie scraps, garden waste, dried leaves, shredded paper and coffee grounds and allow these to be teamed up with biology and microbial life to be added to garden beds. This microorganisms help to convert minerals in the soil into plant available forms that are ready to use when the plant needs them, without the need to add extra synthetic fertilisers! Thanks for the great talk about this at last year’s ’s Gardening Summit

It is not *only* up to personal responsibility to heal our wrongdoings to the Earth 🌍, we can however act for positive change and help ourselves prepare for what is to come🌿I garden regeneratively to learn first hand how to produce food, heal and work in sync with the environment 🌳 in return, the nutrient dense food will nourish my body 🍅🌼😁 Our children need to reconnect with nature and where food comes from 🧒🥒🐝 for them to make better choices and to support a fairer food system that feeds to nourish, and not exploit for profits 💰 -ag

🐾 ❤️Our hearts beat in sync with Mother Nature! 🌱💚

🐶🌍 Our family grew by four paws today. As we welcomed a bundle of furry joy into our lives, we were reminded of the vital role we play as caretakers of the animal kingdom. As our little one explores the world with fresh eyes and untamed enthusiasm, we are learning the depth of our responsibility to protect and preserve the world that future generations will inherit.

💚 🌱This thought was underscored when we unearthed a surprise in our regenerative garden later in the day - a radish lovingly shaped like a heart!

📷🌿 We took this photo to immortalize the moment: our newly formed trio posing with this heart-shaped gift from Mother Nature herself. We can't help but marvel at the symbolism of this moment, the unspoken message it carries.

💔🌏 Our hearts, the heart of this adorable pup, and the heart of nature are all intrinsically linked. Yet, somewhere along the way, we humans have lost sight of this connection, causing a deep wound to open between us and the natural world.

❤️🌎 Here’s the good news - we can heal this wound. With every animal we cherish, every tree we plant, every regenerative vegetable we harvest, we take a step towards mending that bond. Just as we nurture our puppy and our garden, we can nurture the earth. By doing so, we not only heal the planet, but we also heal our own hearts.

🌱🤝🏽 This heart-shaped radish is a symbol, a gentle nudge from nature reminding us of our shared destiny and interconnectedness. Let's heed this reminder and strive to live in harmony with all living beings, closing the wound we've allowed to form.
