Invited somewhere in France? 🇫🇷✨
If you’re still getting used to French social etiquette, this is one of those small details that can make a big difference.

It’s not about bringing something extravagant. It’s about the gesture.
A small detail that says: “Thank you for having me.”

Over time, you start to notice it.
The bottle placed casually on the table.
The dessert quietly added to the spread.
The little something that wasn’t expected… but always appreciated.

Sometimes, it’s even something from home.
A flavor, a specialty, something you love from back home… always a conversation starter, always appreciated.

It’s one of those cultural codes that isn’t written anywhere, yet everyone understands.

And once you do too, everything feels easier.
You’re no longer just visiting… you’re part of it!

Swipe, discover some of your options, and save this for your next invite!

Moving to Paris is more than a relocation 🇫🇷
It’s a decision to grow, to challenge yourself, and to step into something new.

It takes courage to leave what’s familiar. To navigate the unknown. To build a life from scratch, in another language, another culture, another rhythm.

And it asks something of you. To be honest with yourself. To adapt.
To let go of what you thought it would be, and embrace what it can become.

Because the people who build a life in a new city or country aren’t the ones who expect it to be easy, they’re the ones who are ready to evolve with it.

In this video, Justyna Simmons shares what it really takes to make a move to France work, not perfectly, but intentionally, with clarity, resilience, and the right mindset.

Because a successful relocation isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about building something meaningful, step by step.

If you’re ready to take that step, and do it right from the start, we’re here to guide you! Contact u via link in bio 🔗

No digital nomad visa in France? 🇫🇷
Good. Because you actually have better options.

This surprises a lot of people.

France doesn’t offer a “digital nomad visa”. But in reality, the alternatives available here are often more stable, more flexible, and better suited for long-term life in Paris.

Here’s what most people don’t realize:

You can legally live and work remotely from France
You just need the right visa, not a trendy label.

There isn’t one path, there are several!
Depending on your situation, you might qualify for:
• Profession Libérale (freelancers, consultants)
• Talent Passport (for higher-level profiles)

The strategy matters more than the visa name
The biggest mistake we see? People trying to fit into the wrong category instead of choosing the one that actually works for their life and goals.

France rewards well-prepared applications with the right positioning and a strong dossier, your chances of success increase significantly.

This is where most people feel overwhelmed… and where we step in.

At Your Friend in Paris, we don’t just tell you what exists
We help you choose the right path, structure your application, and guide you through the entire process.

Because moving to France shouldn’t feel uncertain, it should feel clear.

When you first arrive in France, understanding the health system can feel overwhelming. That’s exactly why we’re here, to make it simpler 🇫🇷

Carte Vitale, CPAM, Ameli, mutuelle… it can quickly feel like a different language.

To make things clearer, here’s a simple breakdown of how the French health system works:

1. Carte Vitale
Your French health insurance card.
It connects you to the system and allows reimbursements for your medical expenses.

2. CPAM
The organization that manages your healthcare rights.
This is where your application is submitted and processed.

3. Ameli
Your online account.
Once activated, you can track reimbursements, download documents, and manage your coverage.

4. Numéro provisoire
A temporary social security number.
Often the first step before receiving your permanent number and Carte Vitale.

5. Mutuelle
Your complementary insurance.
It covers the portion of medical costs not reimbursed by the public system.

6. CERFA forms
Official administrative forms required for your application.
Essential, but not always intuitive to complete correctly.

💡 What most people don’t realize:
Access to the French healthcare system is not automatic.
It requires a complete and well-prepared dossier, as well as patience while your file is being processed.

This is where many expats experience delays or uncertainty.

At Your Friend in Paris, we handle the entire process for you, from preparing and submitting your dossier to following up with CPAM, so you can access healthcare with clarity and peace of mind.

Because settling in France isn’t just about arriving, it’s about being fully set up.

📩 Need help with your Carte Vitale? We’re here to take care of it.

Is France worth it? 🇫🇷

It’s a question we hear all the time, and the answer is never one-size-fits-all.

Because it’s not just about France.
It’s about your situation, your priorities, your timing, and what you want this move to bring into your life.

For some, it becomes exactly what they were looking for.
For others, it requires more adjustment, more patience, and a shift in expectations.

When it works, France offers something truly unique.
A different pace of life, where time is experienced differently.
Strong systems that, once in place, create real stability.
A cultural depth that becomes part of your everyday life.
And a way of living that feels more intentional, more grounded.

But that experience doesn’t happen by chance.

It comes from clarity.
From understanding not only the benefits, but also the realities.
From making informed decisions, and approaching the move as a long-term project, not just a change of location.

Because moving to France isn’t about chasing an idea.
It’s about building a life that actually works for you here.

And when those pieces come together, the experience can be incredibly rewarding.

🎥 A must-watch perspective from Justyna Simmons, as she shares an honest and unfiltered take in this reel.

To the newcomers, the newly settled, and those dreaming of making the move to France, here’s a little French culture note for today, April 1st 🐟

In France, April Fool’s Day is known as poisson d’avril. Yes, “April fish.”
Alongside playful pranks, one of the best-known traditions is placing a paper fish on someone’s back without them noticing. 🇫🇷

As for why a fish, the most common explanation links April 1 pranks to an old calendar change in France, though the exact origin of the fish itself is still debated. 💭

At we leave the tricks to April 1st. When it comes to relocation, our approach is built on expertise, clarity, and trusted support at every step.

So while today may call for keeping an eye out for paper fish, you can count on us for guidance with no surprises where it matters. 💫🇫🇷

Whether it’s April Fool’s Day or any other day of the year, contact us and we ensure your move remains as smooth and clear as possible! 🇫🇷

Had you heard of poisson d’avril before? 🐟

Thinking about moving to Paris? 🇫🇷
Here’s what people don’t always tell you…

1. Bureaucracy is real
It’s slower than you expect, sometimes confusing, and yes… a bit frustrating.
But once you understand how it works (and have the right support), it becomes manageable.

2. Sundays hit different
The city slows down, everything gets quieter, and somehow… better.
Coffee, walks, bakeries, this is when Paris really starts to feel like yours.

3. French is a journey
Not something you master overnight.
Some days it flows, some days it really doesn’t, but you keep going, and that’s what matters.

Moving to Paris isn’t just a move, it’s an adjustment.
And honestly, that’s part of what makes it so special.

We’ve been there, and we’ve got you because you don't have to figure it alone! 🇫🇷✨

Finding a home in Paris isn’t just about finding a place… it’s about understanding how the system really works. 🇫🇷

From proving your income, to making the right impression, to submitting a complete dossier (yes, every single document matters 👀)… the process can feel overwhelming, even before your first viewing.

And in a city where competition is high, “almost ready” simply isn’t enough. That’s exactly where we step in.

We prepare, review, and carry your dossier so you don’t have to stress about what’s missing, what’s expected, or what could cost you the apartment.

Because you didn’t move to Paris to navigate paperwork…

You moved here to fall in love with it — and we’ll make sure it stays that way. ✨

On March 12, we celebrated something truly special. Our one-year anniversary of growing this community. ✨

What started as a simple idea, to bring people together, to create connection, to make Paris feel a lot more like home, has, over the past year, become something real and deeply meaningful. Something we are incredibly proud of.

Not just a business, but a community of people who trust us, support us, and grow alongside us.

This past year has been filled with conversations, challenges, milestones, and so many incredible stories. We have seen friendships form, moments shared, and connections built that go far beyond relocation.

And through it all, one thing has become clear. We have come a long way.

But more than the growth, what has inspired us most is what we have built together: Connection, trust, and shared journeys.

None of this would have been possible without you.

Thank you for being part of Your Friend in Paris. Thank you for showing up and growing with us. This is only the beginning 💫🇫🇷
