It wasn't always the case (Reiki, I mean), and in fact, when I first became interested in reiki many, many years ago, the opportunities to learn were very far and few between, because in France (where I resided back then), Reiki was not practised or indeed even really known like it is today. My intent with Reiki was to use it solely with horses. I do have the odd human client (or other four-legged
patients), but as a horse lover, and owner, I wanted to learn how to care for my horse on another level. I did my Levels 1 and 2 under the watchful eye of Peta Morton, in France, and I chose to work with this Reiki teacher because she has a profound love for horses, and I couldn't think of anyone better to do my Reiki initiation. I went on to study my Reiki Master's degree with another Reiki Master, Leah Napleton, as we developed a very strong spiritual link over the years, and Leah is also a big horse lover. Reiki is classed as an alternative medicine and it must never be used in lieu of modern medicine, however, my idea was to bond with horses more intensely, and to communicate and offer healing to those who needed or requested it. I now offer workshops to equestrians, whether they are trainers, riders, handlers, horse lovers, not only to teach them how to give basic healing therapy to their equines, but to enable them to bond on a much deeper level with each other. I have since taken a deep interest in crystals and healing using crystals, feng shui, and positive psychology (I am currently studying an online course, which leads to certification as a coach in positive psychology - with the Centre of Excellence Online).
