Poutine my two cents

Always nice to find a true poutine spot away from home.
Very surprised to taste this LEGIT poutine in Toulouse.
The sauce was tasty, the curds were fresh. Only knock would be the fries, which is a shame cause there a home made. But they deserve to be a tad crispier.
If you happen to be in Toulouse. It’s a must stop.

I was pretty excited to try some poutine in Saint-Boniface, given the French-Canadian/European heritage they have. I made a mistake and took the traditional poutine. Nothing stood out for me and there was not a lot of curds. Next time, I will try the one with blue cheese and bacon.
On another note, Downtown Winnipeg is way prettier than expected! @ Le Garage

So I never thought I would say this but hummmm this place needs to level up their poutine.
I mean not all poutine needs to be extra special but there needs to be a minimum standard.
Midway offers two options, the Lame And Plain (the name on the menu, not mine) and the game day.
I usually like to try the basic when I go somewhere just to see what the standards are.

The fries were not crispy and coupled with way too much sauce made it extra soggy.
The gravy was.. well bad. Super amber and not very hot.
As for the curds. They didn’t seem very fresh.
This place is fairly new so I’m sure they’ll take the time to adjust the shot.

Today marks the beginning of the new NHL season!

PoutineVille has a ridiculous amount of options to pimp your poutine. The price can get up there but so does the taste 🤗 @ Poutineville Beaubien
