I had plans for my this running post to be on my usual stomping ground. But the best laid plans……So my running journey began in Wales, on a work trip, on unfamiliar terrain, and with loads of doubts. I guess the only way is up.

A year ago I thought my running days were over. But I’ve recently got the running bug again. I have to admit, I’ve found it much harder than before, I think mainly because I’m now 50. But even in these early days back in my running trainers, I’ve found so many benefits.I was talking to my daughter the other day and she pointed out that since my previous running stint, getting out and going for a jog has become cool, particularly among young people. She showed me so many excellent runners on social media making the sport sexy. But I haven’t found many people focused on helping people my age, a time in our lives when keeping fit, and maintaining muscle, is so important.So I’ve decided to document my journey back to running, with the help of some friends like , who have gone big in the running world. It’ll be a weekly (hopefully) authentic take on running in middle age, warts (hopefully not literally) and all. I may be middle aged, but it’ll be for all ages. And it’ll be full of tips and product reviews, with a fair amount of pain and joy along the way.
